At 87 years old, Morgan Freeman was recently seen enjoying a rare outing on Sunday, Nov. 24. The actor spent the evening dining with close friends and family in Los Angeles. Freeman, dressed casually in a checkered button-up shirt, dark trousers, and a baseball cap, was photographed outside the popular Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, a spot frequented by many celebrities.
He was also seen wearing a cream-colored compression glove, which he has discussed publicly as a necessary aid following nerve damage from a car accident in 2008. During a July 2012 interview with Esquire, Freeman explained the discomfort caused by the injury, saying, “It’s the fibromyalgia. Up and down the arm. That’s where it gets so bad. Excruciating.”
Although he maintains a low public profile, Freeman remains active in his acting career. In 2024, he appeared in two films: My Dead Friend Zoe and Gunner. Looking ahead, Freeman will reprise his role in Now You See Me 3, joining a cast that includes Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, and several other well-known stars.
Although Lionsgate has not yet disclosed the plot, the third film is expected to continue the story from the second movie, particularly focusing on the evolving roles of the Four Horsemen. Filming for Now You See Me 3 wrapped on Nov. 18, and the official Instagram account for the film confirmed the news with a post announcing the movie’s release on November 14, 2025.
Earlier, Freeman spent time with Clint Eastwood in California, where he presented Eastwood with a prestigious award at the 2024 Monterey Jazz Festival in September. Freeman and his producing partner, Lori McCreary, shared a memorable moment on Instagram on Oct. 14, where Freeman expressed his pleasure in presenting the inaugural Clint Eastwood Award for Cultural Leadership.
He also praised Eastwood’s talents as a musician and noted their shared enjoyment of performances by Kyle Eastwood and Mavis Staples. Freeman and Eastwood, both legends in the film industry, have worked together on several occasions, including in Eastwood’s Unforgiven (1992), Million Dollar Baby (2004), and Invictus (2009), where Freeman portrayed Nelson Mandela.
