According to Kathy Griffin, Paris Hilton once went so far as to paint her entire house pink specifically for a party. The comedian recounted this story during her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday, noting that she has become friends with the socialite.
Griffin expressed her fondness for Hilton, humorously stating, “Now, first of all, I love good old Paris, and I’ll tell you why. I still call her a dirty whore, and she laughs as she should. She laughs with her billion-dollar empire.” She went on to remind Kimmel that Hilton holds the title of the highest-paid female DJ in the world, adding, “I wish I was that kind of dirty whore.”
The 64-year-old comedian elaborated on her connection with Hilton, mentioning a “good little” group chat titled “Paris’ Aunties.” This chat includes the “Paris in Love” star, 43, Rosie O’Donnell, Sia, and fellow comedians Luenell and Laraine Newman, all of whom were invited to the pink-themed party. “We go to Paris’ house, and the invite said that they were going to be filming her TV show there, which is so up my alley, and the theme was that we all had to be pink and sparkly,” Griffin shared.
Upon arriving, Griffin noted, “So we got to Paris’ house, and she painted the whole exterior pink,” explaining that Hilton’s impressive net worth of approximately $300 million allows her to indulge in such extravagance. Griffin humorously reiterated her desire for “that dirty whore money,” remarking, “She painted it pink, and then the next day, it was back.”
Describing the party atmosphere, Griffin mentioned that the event took place in Hilton’s backyard, complete with kiosks displaying Hilton’s makeup line, hair extensions, and cookware. Among the attendees were Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and his daughters, Kat Von D, and Lance Bass.
Griffin also recounted an unusual exchange between O’Donnell and Kathy Hilton, Paris’s mother. Supposedly, Kathy Hilton, 65, introduced herself to Rosie O’Donnell, 62, by stating, “Hi Rosie, I’m Kathy. Did you know I was the last person to talk to Michael Jackson before the propofol?” Kathy Hilton and Jackson formed a friendship during their teenage years at Montclair Preparatory School in Southern California.
Rumor has it that they made a pact to name their firstborn daughters Paris, with Jackson later welcoming Paris Jackson in 1998. Michael Jackson passed away at the age of 50 in 2009, and his personal physician, Conrad Murray, was convicted of involuntary manslaughter for administering a lethal dose of propofol, a drug that Jackson used frequently to aid his sleep.
Hilton is known for her lavish celebrations, as demonstrated by the extravagant party she threw earlier this month for her daughter London’s first birthday. The event featured an Alice in Wonderland theme, complete with a petting zoo, oversized sculptures of the Mad Hatter and mushrooms, a bar decorated with clocks, and luxurious floral arrangements.
In addition to her daughter London, Paris shares a one-year-old son named Phoenix with her husband, Carter Reum.
