Thanksgiving turned out to be quite eventful for “Modern Family” stars Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Julie Bowen. On Thursday, both actors unexpectedly documented their visits to the emergency room with their children.
Bowen posted a somewhat haunting image of her teenage sons enveloped in fog outside a hospital, captioning it with, “It’s not a holiday without a trip to the ER. (He’s fine, btw) HAPPY THANKSGIVING.” However, she did not specify which of her sons required medical attention.
At 54 years old, Bowen is a mother to three sons: Oliver, 17, and twins John and Gustave, 15. Ferguson, who has two sons, Beckett, 4, and Sully, 2, also shared a photo of himself holding one of his children while lying in a hospital bed.
The specific reason for their hospital visit remains unclear, as the 49-year-old actor only showed the back of his child’s head in the image. In his caption, he expressed, “I have received a lot of parenting wisdom from @itsjuliebowen, so seeing I wasn’t the only one with a kid in the ER on Thanksgiving was comforting,” adding that his son was “also fine.”
He concluded his post with gratitude for the staff at Lennox Health, remarking, “NYC really DOES have the best healthcare.” Many of Ferguson’s celebrity friends, including Niecy Nash and Colton Underwood, left heart emojis and well wishes on his post. Representatives for both Ferguson and Bowen have yet to respond to Page Six’s inquiries for comments.
