Sulinna Ong, Spotify’s Global Head of Editorial, shared the news with excitement during a virtual briefing attended by Page Six, revealing that Swift amassed over 26.6 billion streams globally this year. Her reign as the platform’s Global Top Artist continues to break records.

Swift’s latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, made waves in 2024 by becoming Spotify’s most-streamed album in a single day upon its release. On April 19, the day it dropped, Swift also shattered records as the most-streamed artist in a single day in Spotify’s history. Within days, the album surpassed one billion streams in its first week, a groundbreaking achievement on the platform.
This year has been transformative for Swift both in her career and personal life. Alongside her record-breaking streaming success, her relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce has kept her in the spotlight. Meanwhile, her Eras Tour has dominated headlines for its staggering success, contributing to her becoming a billionaire in April, nearly two decades after her debut in 2006.
Pollstar data from late 2023 confirmed the Eras Tour as the highest-grossing tour of all time, surpassing $1 billion. Reports noted an average ticket price of $238, with each show grossing over $17 million while drawing crowds of 72,000 fans.
Swift’s financial success was further solidified in October, when Forbes named her the richest female musician in the world, with an estimated net worth of $1.6 billion, slightly edging out Rihanna’s $1.4 billion fortune.
With over 150 performances since the Eras Tour began in March 2023, Swift is set to conclude this monumental chapter on December 8 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
