Taylor Swift closed out her Eras Tour with a heartfelt gesture that thrilled fans. During her performance of “Karma” on Sunday night in Vancouver, the singer gave a special shoutout to her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
Swift, 34, delighted the audience by altering the lyrics, swapping a reference to her ex, Joe Alwyn, with the line “the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to” her. The change, originally introduced in November 2023 during a Buenos Aires show, sparked excitement among her fans, many of whom shared their joy online.
A TikTok user captured the moment and shared it with the caption, “We got ONE LAST ‘Karma is the guy on the Chiefs.’ AHHH!” Viewers flooded social media with praise, noting the happiness evident in Swift’s voice as she sang about Kelce. Others pointed out her “archer pose” during the performance, a move reminiscent of the Super Bowl champion’s signature celebration on the football field.
Kelce has explained the inspiration behind his archer pose, which he began using in October 2023 as a symbol of aiming high and dreaming big. Interestingly, Swift had incorporated the same pose in choreography for her 2019 track “The Archer,” well before their relationship began in summer 2023.
The couple’s romance blossomed after Kelce’s public attempt to connect with Swift during her Missouri tour stop. At the time, Swift had recently ended a brief fling with Matty Healy and her six-year relationship with Alwyn.
Although Kelce was absent from Swift’s final show due to his game against the Los Angeles Chargers, the Chiefs emerged victorious with a 19-17 win. Swift’s record-breaking tour, which began in March 2023, featured over 150 performances across five continents.
