For example, she described how her family practices setting intentions with “moon water” as a simple yet magical ritual. She credited her mom, whom she considered her best friend, for inspiring her to add a touch of magic to daily life.
Recalling her mother’s thoughtfulness, Hewitt mentioned how Patricia would brighten her day with small gestures, like decorating her room with Christmas lights during tough times. Patricia passed away in 2012 at the age of 67, with Hewitt’s family expressing gratitude that she was now in a better place.
Hewitt also brought this sense of magic to her new Lifetime movie, The Holiday Junkie, which she co-wrote, directed, and starred in. The film, about finding love after loss during the holidays, blends joy and grief in a way she hopes resonates with audiences.
In a special touch, her husband, Brian Hallisay, plays her love interest in the film. Hewitt reflected on the joy of working with him, calling the experience a beautiful reminder of their love.
