Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia, 25, recently made known her latest tattoo, which pays homage to Taylor Swift’s song “I Hate It Here,” just before attending the pop star’s final Eras Tour in Vancouver last night. This new tattoo symbolizes her deepening admiration for Swift.
In a clip featuring the song, LaPaglia can be seen lying on her stomach while tattoo artist Taylor Menzies meticulously applies the ink, resulting in a striking design of a skull with roses. The tattoo reflects Swift’s lyrics: “I hate it here, so I will go to secret gardens in my mind.”
Prior to her tattoo session, the social media personality shared her excitement with followers on Instagram, stating, “About to get my favorite Taylor song tattoo’d.” She elaborated that the song had helped her explore the difficult process of cutting toxic people from her life, particularly in light of her recent and tumultuous breakup with country star Zach Bryan.
This tattoo holds special importance for LaPaglia, as she only recently became a Swift fan following her split from Bryan, who faced backlash from Swift’s fans for claiming that Kanye West was “better” than Swift.
In September, Bryan issued an apology for the “drunken” tweet, just a month before announcing his breakup with LaPaglia. Menzies expressed gratitude for the opportunity to create the tattoo, sharing a video of her work and writing, “So grateful to be trusted with this.”
She also praised LaPaglia, saying, “Thanks Bri, you are truly such a beautiful soul who has and continues to empower so many women. Thank you for being the human you are.” LaPaglia replied, “You are the best!! Love it so much.”
Her arms are almost entirely adorned with tattoos, including a matching design with Bryan that reads, “how lucky are we.” This phrase, placed just below her new Swift tattoo, originated from LaPaglia and her friends but was later used by Bryan in his hit song “28.”
Last month, the Boston native affirmed that she has no plans to remove this particular tattoo. In a TikTok video, she stated, “That was my thing. That is my tattoo. I’m not getting it removed. It’s OK. This is mine. How lucky are we? That was me.”
At the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix last month, LaPaglia told Page Six that she has decided to abstain from dating following her very public and tumultuous breakup, during which she accused Bryan of alleged abuse and revealed that he had offered her a $12 million NDA.
“I’m married to my career,” she asserted. “I’m never dating anyone ever again.” Expressing her enthusiasm for her future projects, she added, “I’m writing a lot. I’m really excited. I have a book, and we’ll see. We’re coming out. We’re doing a lot of stuff.”
