Travis Kelce shared his admiration for Taylor Swift’s remarkable accomplishment as she wrapped up her nearly two-year-long Eras Tour. Although he couldn’t attend her final performance, the Kansas City Chiefs star expressed his pride in her achievement.
During Wednesday’s episode of “New Heights,” Kelce began by celebrating Swift’s hard work, noting that she concluded her record-breaking tour in Vancouver, Canada. Reflecting on the journey, he reminded his brother, Jason, that the tour began in March 2023, coinciding with the year the Chiefs triumphed in the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The brothers discussed the extraordinary scale of the tour, with Swift performing 149 shows across five continents in just 18 months. Travis applauded not only Swift but also the entire team behind the production, calling it the best tour in the world, primarily because of her vision and effort.
While Kelce missed the weekend concerts due to the Chiefs’ game against the Los Angeles Chargers, Swift closed her tour by thanking fans for their unwavering support. Before her final song, she described the experience as the most thrilling chapter of her life, highlighting the adventures and challenges of performing for over 10 million fans worldwide.
The Eras Tour’s success extended beyond live performances, generating over $2 billion in ticket sales, doubling the gross revenue of any prior tour. Swift’s achievements during the tour propelled her to billionaire status, with Forbes naming her the wealthiest female musician, thanks to her concerts, film releases, and her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department.
While Kelce and his family didn’t attend her final shows, they supported her throughout the tour, with Travis making 14 appearances and even joining her on stage in London. Despite missing her last concert, Swift acknowledged him during “Karma” by referencing “the guy in the Chiefs,” while Kelce added a festive touch to his locker with decorations featuring her image as Mrs. Claus.
