50 Cent remains persistent in mocking fellow rappers Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs following allegations that they assaulted a 13-year-old girl at a house party in 2000. On Tuesday, the rapper shared a provocative AI-generated video on Instagram, showing Jay-Z and Combs dressed in tuxedos as they were escorted out of a party in handcuffs by police.
The clip was set to KRS-One’s “Sound of da Police,” and 50 captioned it with a mix of humor and apprehension, writing, “I want to post this but I’m afraid I’m gonna get shot. LOL.” Curtis Jackson III, known as 50 Cent, has been ridiculing his hip-hop peers for days.
On Monday, he took a jab at Jay-Z, who recently attended the premiere of “Mufasa: The Lion King” alongside his wife Beyoncé and their daughter Blue Ivy. 50 joked in a now-deleted Instagram post, “Jay said they said I rapped [sic] a kid, everybody get dressed we going to see Mufasa LOL,” accompanied by a photo of the family at the event.
Although his posts seem antagonistic, 50 clarified during a recent interview on Big Boy’s Neighborhood that he harbors no real animosity toward Jay-Z. He described his remarks as stemming from competitiveness, adding that he wishes Jay-Z well both personally and within his family life with Beyoncé and their three children. He also expressed concern about Blue Ivy’s potential exposure to online discussions about the allegations.
Jay-Z and Combs, both 55, were named in an amended lawsuit filed by a woman alleging they assaulted her after the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards. The lawsuit claims Jay-Z restrained her while Combs assaulted her, followed by Jay-Z’s alleged involvement, with a female celebrity reportedly witnessing the incident.
Jay-Z has strongly denied the accusations, labeling them as attempts at blackmail by the accuser’s lawyer, Tony Buzbee. Combs has also denied the claims. Jay-Z has filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit and requested the plaintiff’s identity be made public.
Separately, Combs was arrested on charges including sex trafficking and racketeering and is currently in custody in Brooklyn, New York. He has pleaded not guilty, and his trial is scheduled for May 5. Combs also faces multiple lawsuits from individuals accusing him of sexual abuse, all of which he has denied.
