Kate Cassidy has returned to TikTok, marking her first appearance on the platform since the tragic loss of her boyfriend, Liam Payne, on October 16. Over the weekend, the influencer posted a heartfelt montage featuring cherished moments she shared with Payne throughout their relationship.
The video included clips of them holding hands, dancing, kissing, and enjoying quiet, intimate moments together. Set to the emotional tune of “Fade Into You” by Mazzy Star, Cassidy captioned the video simply, “I love you.”
Support poured in through the comments, with fans and fellow influencers offering words of comfort and solidarity. Leah Kateb, a former “Love Island USA” contestant, expressed her condolences, urging Cassidy to reach out if she needed support.
YouTuber Sabrina Quesada reassured her that she would get through this challenging time. Others thanked Cassidy for the love and devotion she showed Payne, with one fan acknowledging the deep respect the fandom holds for her.
The touching tribute comes just weeks after Cassidy attended Payne’s funeral on November 20, where she joined his family and former One Direction bandmates, including Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson, in mourning. Arriving at the private service near London, she was accompanied by her close friend Damian Hurley, the son of Elizabeth Hurley.
Following Payne’s passing, Cassidy, who had been residing in London, has since returned to the United States. The couple had been living together in a rental home in Wellington, Florida, before his untimely death. The property has now been listed for sale.
Before Payne’s tragic accident, Cassidy had traveled with him to Buenos Aires, Argentina, spending two weeks together before she returned to Florida just days prior to his passing. Payne, known for his hit “Teardrops,” died at the age of 31 after falling three stories from a hotel balcony.
One week after his death, Cassidy shared another emotional tribute, expressing her unconditional love for Payne. In her post, she described him as her guardian angel and promised to carry her love for him throughout her life. “I loved you unconditionally and completely,” she wrote, “You’ll always be with me.”
