Rumors are swirling in Palm Beach regarding Elon Musk’s potential interest in a luxurious penthouse previously owned by the late beauty mogul Sydell Miller. Musk, a regular at Mar-a-Lago since Donald Trump’s reelection, is said to be considering this opulent residence.
In 2019, Miller, a self-made entrepreneur behind popular beauty brands Ardell and Matrix Essentials, purchased the penthouse, which consists of two apartments, for $42.56 million within the upscale Bristol building. At the time, this sale set a record as the highest-priced condo in the city.
Miller, who was one of the early members of Mar-a-Lago, passed away in March, leading to speculation about the future of her estate. A source informed Page Six weeks ago that local chatter suggests Musk is keen on acquiring Miller’s former home.
According to local outlet Palmer Palm Beach, there are rumors that Miller’s family is “mulling an offer from Elon Musk to sell the late beauty mogul’s majestic 19,000-square-foot penthouse.” If the offer is accepted, it could exceed $100 million, potentially setting new real estate records in West Palm Beach. The luxury apartment was originally described as “fit for a king” when it was built.
The Bristol, known for its white-glove services, is popular among billionaires, Wall Street executives, and real estate moguls. Miller’s other Palm Beach property, La Reverie, fetched $111 million and was likened to a “railroad station or state library,” featuring amenities such as an ice cream stand and a bowling alley.
Renowned interior designer Peter Marino decorated the lavish estate, and Miller was also an avid art collector, owning works by famous artists like Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, and Marc Chagall. Her art collection was recently auctioned by Sotheby’s.
Since Trump’s reelection, Musk has frequently visited the area and was even seen celebrating Thanksgiving at Mar-a-Lago. Additionally, the SpaceX founder is set to head a new Department of Government Efficiency alongside Vivek Ramaswamy. He has not commented on the rumored purchase of the apartment.
