Kevin Love and Kate Bock are excited to announce they will soon be welcoming their second child. The couple revealed this joyful news on December 12 through an Instagram post shared on Bock’s account.
In her post, Bock used the caption “PART I • PART II,” presenting one image from her first pregnancy alongside a recent photo showcasing her baby bump. Both images were in black and white, capturing a side view.
Additionally, Bock took to TikTok to share a slideshow announcing the pregnancy, set to Ole 60’s “Thoughts of You.” She captioned the video with “Baby #2.” Reflecting on their family journey, she wrote over the first slide, “Last December was our first holiday with our newborn.” On the next slide, she added, “This December I’m pregnant with her younger sibling.”
A representative for the couple has not yet responded to requests for comments from PEOPLE. While this marks their first official announcement regarding their growing family, Vogue recently captured the couple at Art Basel in Miami on December 8, where Bock was seen concealing her baby bump with a large clutch while posing for photographs with Love.
They are already parents to an 18-month-old child, born in June 2023. Love shared during a press event last year that Bock had given birth, although they have kept their child’s name and gender private. “Definitely need to get some rest now, get some sleep,” Love stated during the interview last year. “Everybody’s happy and healthy.”
Since then, the couple has maintained a private approach to parenthood, sharing occasional glimpses of their eldest child on social media. In June 2023, Love posted an Instagram photo of himself with their newborn, simply captioning it with a pair of baby feet emojis: “👣.”
Bock later reposted the image on her Instagram Story, expressing, “Mine.” Shortly thereafter, she shared the same photo on her Instagram, reflecting on the “couple major life events going on simultaneously…”
Recently, Bock posted pictures of their child playing on the beach next to life-sized wooden elephants, captioning it, “Hi Elle-Phants.” In November, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit alum offered a peek into their nursery, sharing a black-and-white photo of their child rummaging through a toy basket while their dog walked into the frame with a ball.
Love and Bock exchanged vows on June 25, 2022, at the New York City Public Library, surrounded by their families and close friends. “The city is so much a part of our story, and it felt so right to bring all of our favorite people together into such an iconic New York City institution,” Bock shared with PEOPLE at the time.
She added, “Kevin and I are both very curious people and love literature, art, and history, and the New York Public Library encompasses all of that in such a romantic setting. It evokes the old-school New York glamour we were searching for and is so iconic to the city that we love. We also love that it is so close by to the place we had our first date — the St. Regis Hotel.”
