After an initial delay Family Guy Season 20 Episode 17 is coming back for fans across the globe. In the previous episode, we were able to witness the dysfunctional Griffin family at their worst, which for the viewers is best. Rather ironic, but yes, that’s just the dynamic of the show with its fans. The last episode saw some incredible cutaway scenes and celebrity gags. The whole plot of the episode seemed chaotic and gore, just how we’ve all come to love it. The previous episode titled ‘Prescription Heroine’ is reminiscent of the wild episodes in Family Guy where animators basically go nuts.
Family Guy Season 20 Episode 17
Family Guy is one of the most popular shows to have come from American soil. It’s an adult animated sitcom that mainly deals in dark, gore, violent and crass humor. The show revolves around the everyday life of The Griffins. The Griffins are a family of five, Peter & Lois are the parents, Chris, Meg, and Stewie are the children & Brian is their pet dog. There are also secondary main characters which are Joe Swanson, Glenn Quagmire, and Cleveland Brown. The show was created by Seth McFarlane and got almost canceled due to stiff competition at the time. The show later went on to become one of the classics winning 3 Emmy Awards. Notably, the show often draws comparisons to The Simpsons, which is also a classic show that dabbles in the same humor territory. Before further expanding on Family Guy Season 20 Episode 17, let’s take a quick recap of the previous episode.
Family Guy Season 20 Episode 16 Recap
With the episode title Prescription Heroine, we can almost sense that something’s about to go down. And oh boy does it spiral downward. The episode starts with an unassuming Lois going down the rabbit hole of binge-watching Netflix. A delivery guy rings the doorbell and like every other dog, Brian must protect the house from the evil delivery man. Doing so, Brian ends up breaking his hand and gets a whole lot of painkillers as a prescription. Seeing Brian getting high off of the meds, Lois ends up taking a few and forms an addiction. What happens next is a chaotic series of events where animators end up creating mind-warping scenes to depict Lois’ state of mind.
Stewie and Brian team up to help Lois get over her addiction by locking her in a kennel. Special brownie points for remaking the iconic Stewie and Lois Mummy-Mumma bit, but from Lois’ POV this time, definitely the best moment of the episode. Meanwhile, Peter ends up escalating an issue with Cleveland. The duo fight over the ping-pong table which Peter initially threw out. Everyone still hates Meg.
