In ‘Avengers: Infinity War(2018)’, when Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) puts forward a question to Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), “What is your job exactly, besides making balloon animals?”. “Protecting your reality, douchebag.”, came the blunt reply from Doctor Stephen Strange. Although he might not have been quite right with the douchebag remark, he sure was about his job. Doctor Strange made his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the 2016 movie of the same name. He returns to the big screen with the sequel, ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)’. In this article, you’ll be having the ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse Of Madness’ ending explained. From being an ordinary man with an M.D., Ph.D. degree to establishing himself as one of the most powerful heroes in the MCU, he has rightfully earned the ‘Sorcerer Supreme’ tag. The movie follows the events from ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home(2021)’, which shows a spell going wrong. With creative differences coming into being, Scott Derrickson had stepped aside as the director. Sam Raimi took over and has assuredly left his touch. But before you read any further, there are plenty of SPOILERS AHEAD! With that out of the way, let us start with explaining the ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse Of Madness’ ending.

Doctor Strange In Multiverse Of Madness: Ending Explained

Quite simply, a roller coaster ride. The film starts with a dream sequence that shows Doctor Strange attempting to save America Chavez(Xochitl Gomez). The attacker in this instance is none other than Wanda Maximoff(Elizabeth Olsen), aka Scarlet Witch. As you can expect, the fans had always expected her to feature in a Doctor Strange movie. They sure didn’t expect to see her in this demon-like avatar.

Now, moving on with explaining the ending of ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse Of Madness,’ we see Strange waking up from his dream. He then attends the wedding of his former love-interest, Christine Palmer(Rachel McAdams). We see an octopus-like creature trying to kill America Chavez before Strange gets to her rescue. America then reveals that she, too, has the power to travel across multiverses. We see Strange and Wong(Benedict Wong) teaming up to save America from Scarlet Witch for much of the following scenes. When Scarlet attacks Kamar-Taj, America uses her ability and takes Strange along with her to another universe(Earth-838).
