Where Are The Episodes Of Midsomer Murders Filmed?

Generally, we have seen a murder mystery that has the shade of black or grey and is usually ignored by many people. They feel it is too much to handle with the crime and drops of blood and to add to it, and the scenes are greyish. But the murder mystery is different; of course, there is bloodshed here too, not unlike in that way but in a visual way. The location in the episodes is the beauty and highlights of the series. Where Are The Episodes Of Midsomer Murders Filmed?

One of the longest-running dramas of ITV’s Midsomer Murders episodes was filmed at various locations. Setup in the fictional area of Causton, the show’s episodes are shot in the south of England, across Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. The Filming Location Of The Episode – “The Stitcher Society location.”

In The Stitcher Society – season 22’s second episode, DCI Barnaby and DS Winter investigate the murder of Reuben Tooms, the founder of a club for heart bypass patients, who dies after an unpopular Midsomer joins the group. Most of the episode was filmed in the countryside county of Buckinghamshire. John Thomson, who guest stars Cooper Steinem in the episode, said the Midsomer filming locations were familiar to him. “That whole area of Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire…when I was a kid in the 1970’s I lived in Watford every summer, and it was cool as I got to see the north and the south.”

 

The Filming Location Of The Episode- “The Wolf Hunter Of Little Worthy”

DCI Barnaby and DS Winter travel to Little Worthy to investigate a murder that may be tied to a cult urban legend in The Wolf Hunter of Little Worthy. The episode was shot in and around Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire. Nick Hendrix, who plays DS Jamie Winter in the show, said, “Our shoot, like everyone else’s, had to adjust (due to Pandemic). The glamping site in the episode was a real campsite built by the team.”

 

The filming location of the episode – “With Baited Bread”

Anglers go to the imaginary settlement of Solomon Gorge in With Baited Breath, hoping to catch a big fish that is claimed to hide in the lake. Dorney Court, a magnificent Tudor manor house in Buckinghamshire, was a filming site.

Nicola Stephenson, who plays Izzy Silvermane in the episode, stated that: his favorite part of filming this episode of Midsomer Murders was this magnificent historic home, which has a fascinating history. Dorney Court, an early Tudor manor house dating from 1440, is the location.

 

The Filming Location of the Episode – “The Sting of Death”

Imogen Stubbs, who plays honey entrepreneur Tamara in the Midsomer Murders ensemble for the series 21’The Sting of Death, revealed where the episode was shot: Little Missenden. This green Buckinghamshire village has previously been utilized as a production setting.

 

The filming location of the episode – “The Lions of Causton”

When club owner Mark Adler is frozen to Death in the team’s cryotherapy chamber, the Causton Lions rugby team comes under Barnaby and Winter’s inspection in this episode. Who was responsible for his death? And what is the tangled web of intrigue that lies underlying it all?

This episode was shot at Henley Rugby Football Club in Henley-on-Thames in 2017.

 

The filming location of the episode – “Death of the small coppers”

Circulus — a secret international club for geniuses during the summer holidays – has taken over a local school. Barnaby and his colleagues face a challenging case when the school’s unfortunate headmaster is found dead and stuck to the wall like one of the insects in his butterfly collection.

The Bulstrode Estate at Gerrard’s Cross, Buckinghamshire, was used for filming. The Victorian mansion we see on film in Midsomer Murders is located in Bulstrode Park, known for its gorgeous trees from all over the world.

 

The filming location of the episode – “The Ghost of Causton Abbey”

This episode is set at a deserted monastery that is said to be cursed by Brother Jozef, an enraged monk. Now, two industrious sisters are ready to open the Cursed Ale Microbrewery – but the curse appears to take another victim on the night of the opening when a body is discovered roasted to Death in a pot of beer. The exteriors of Causton Abbey were recorded on location at Waverley Abbey in Surrey because it does not exist in real life.
