5. Mansfield Park (1814)

This is the third novel by Jane Austen. Fanny Price is the protagonist of the book. When the parents are not there, Fanny’s cousins go out with their neighbors, who have a flirtatious nature and a wild party life.

4. Sense and Sensibility (1811)

This is Jane Austen’s debut novel which is very wholesome and interesting. The novel revolves around the two sisters, Marianne and Elinor, who, after their father’s death forced to give up all their wealthy and luxurious lives by their relatives. Both Marianne and Elinor start to live in a small cottage. Marianne is a younger sister who reflects the emotion of “Sensibility” as she is more open-minded and modern than her good and patient elder sister “Elinor.”

 

3. Persuasion (1818)

This is the last novel of Jane Austen, which was published after her death. The title of the novel was given by her brother, Henry. Jane always gets upset about the pressure and persuasion that every young girl faces in her life. Not much had changed from when this novel was written to now. Today, women feel pressure and get persuaded easily, thinking they have a soft heart.

Anne Elliot gets persuaded by her friend to break off her engagement when she was young. Anne is in her late 20s and is still not married, and she regrets her decision. The novel escalates flawlessly, making the reader not stop reading until the novel ends.

2. Emma (1815)

This was the last novel published before Austen left for her heavenly journey. At the start of this novel, Austen wrote that Emma is their favorite character of hers even though most people would not like her. Emma is a girl with a decision firm that she will never marry. She has more interested in being a matchmaker for her friends rather than in finding a suitable partner for herself. Emma is the first character shown to have the freedom of choosing not to marry.

The novel that will take the number one spot is the most loved novel by Jane Austen. The novel “Pride and Prejudice” has not left its charm till now. The novel was named “First Impressions” in the beginning. “Pride and Prejudice” revolves around Elizabeth Bennett and her partner Mr. Darcy. The novel is so famous because of its memorable scenes and quotes.
