A group of friends turns their love of horror into a bizarre business, bringing terror to those who need it in a nostalgic Latin American country where the bizarre and spooky are part of everyday life. Name another show besides Los Espookys that unleashes its characters ten minutes into its second season. For example: Sebastián Ayala) Puts on a do-it-yourself attitude while sitting in a dark cemetery hut that looks like a do-it-yourself room, encounters a punk fashion school dorm, and pee-wee’s Playhouse pinch.
It’s been three years since the first season of this horror comedy television series (mostly) Spanish-language HBO aired, so why was the series canceled yet again before the pandemic? — and it’s very refreshing to dive into the decidedly strange and unique waters where someone like the one above doesn’t kick out Horror side’s quartet of hustlers.
Los Espookys Season 2 Episode 5 Preview
The TV show Los Espooky, which is primarily in Spanish with English subtitles, follows the exploits of horror and gore fan Renaldo as he builds a special company that brings thrills and chills to a wide variety of clients. Renaldo is aided in his chilling quest by his friend Ursula, who oversees the logistics and completion of Los Espooky’s project.
The disgruntled heir to the chocolate dynasty, Andres, longs to discover the mysteries of his past. Ursula’s younger sister, Tachi, works a variety of jobs while serving as a dummy for the group. An older actor, with the help of an increasingly agitated Los Espooky cast and crew, takes on a boring sitcom.
Meanwhile, Renaldo visits the other participants in the pageant, and Ambassador Melanie’s hopes of taking over leadership of the Miami Embassy are dashed. Los Espookys’ ratings are impressive. The series has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, a 7.4/10 on the IMDb website, and a 91% rating on the Metacritic website, giving it an audience rating summary of 4.9 out of 5.

Los Espookys Plot
Luckily, Season 2 offers a typed description. Renaldo (Bernardo Velasco) has been asked by his mother to “hire the daughter of a woman he occasionally sees at the hairdresser,” but Los Espooky needs no additional help.
Nevertheless, they agree to an “interview,” and Moníca Martínez prepares a full PowerPoint presentation of her. After explaining her background, Monica poses her key question and prepares the answer, “Who is Los Espookys?”
Season 2 picks up after last year’s telenovela twist, starring Tati (co-creator, screenwriter, and director) instead of Andrés (co-creator and screenwriter Julio Torres), who is married to Juan Carlos (Jose Pablo Minor).
Ana Fabrega makes an appearance. Juan Carlos is the descendant of a biscuit maker, and Andres ended up inheriting the chocolate company before angering her parents by refusing to marry her, giving her credit to her husband’s ex-boyfriend. But the worst result for Andrés was that he became homeless.
A wealthy brainchild, banished from the mansion he grew up in, awaits a frigid world of friend couches and extra roommates. Through his best guesses about “normal” behavior and Torres’ snarky reactions to bourgeois society, he makes dozens of great jokes.
Meanwhile, Ursula (Cassandra Chanherotti), while trying to help her younger sister Tati adjust to her marriage, is still a TV news producer who wants to turn her into the “new Gregoria Santos.” That repetitive interruption makes it difficult to help the many people who come to him for help.
