The seven-year run of the best-selling Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War romantic comedy manga by Aka Akasaka has finally yet regretfully come to an end. It was revealed that the story, which began serializing in May 2015, will wrap up in the next issue of Weekly Young Jump, which will be published in November.

To honor the ending of the series, the magazine edition will include the series on the cover and colored center pages, as well as a special 12-page booklet and an interview between Akasaka and Japanese cosplayer Enako.

Even if the new announcement can be bittersweet, there is still a tonne more material for the anime to adapt from. So far, three seasons of the anime have been based on the manga, adapting a little over 130 chapters out of the 268 total chapters throughout 26 collected volumes. As a result, the conclusion of the manga doesn’t necessarily imply that the recently announced project would be the final in the Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War anime series. It’s a different narrative in the manga, though.

The anime is not only well-liked but also widely popular. Currently, just after Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Season 3 is voted as the second-best anime of all time on MyAnimeList.

About Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War

The main characters of the show are two geniuses who are at the top of their academy and the vice president and president of the student council, respectively, Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane. The two are regarded as the elite of the elite, but because of their arrogant status, they begin to misbehave when they begin to feel attracted to one another.

Right now, the object of this rivalry of love is to see who can admit or reveal symptoms of their affection first. As a result, the show follows the two as they struggle to get through each day while also attempting to persuade the other to admit their feelings.

The slice-of-life crossover and original approach to romance have earned the series acclaim from fans, who also lauded the writing overall and the storyline development as well as the series’ characters. There is no better time than the present to begin Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War because the manga series is almost over, and the anime has just finished its third season.

Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War Ending

The manga Kaguya-Sama: Love is War will come to an end, with the final chapter appearing in the November 2, 2022, issue of Weekly Young Jump. Kaguya-Sama has been running for around seven years. Volume 49, which contains the final chapter, will have Kaguya-Sama: Love is War on the cover and center color pages to honor its completion.

It was stated that Kaguya-Sama: Love is War would finish in 2022 during the summer. At the time, Akasaka predicted that the series would end in October 2022 if all went according to plan. Only roughly fourteen chapters remained for him to write. And he is on time since there haven’t been any substantial delays. A special 12-page booklet will be included with Weekly Young Jump Volume 49.

A unique interview with the cosplayer Enako and the artist Akasaka must also be included. Kaguya-Sama: Love is War was adapted into an anime that was released by A-1 Pictures in three seasons. The anime movie Kaguya-Sama: Love is War: The First Kiss Never Ends will also be released. In late 2022, it will be shown in Japanese theatres.

Thoughts On How The Manga Should End

How the chapter will conclude is a mystery. The manga’s conclusion and the wedding of the main pair, which takes place ten years later, may possibly be reached through time travel. The bond between Kaguya and Miyuki has not always been easy. Their growth took so long because they both felt they didn’t deserve each other’s love. The manga also had to respond to the desires of the fans for a genuine Ino-Ishigami confrontation.

The universe that Kaguya and Miyuki had always created inside of themselves should intelligently come to an end in the Kaguya Sama Love is War manga. The world served as both a means of communication and, conversely, a divider between them. One of the series’ pivotal moments, to this day, was when Miyuki asked Kaguya’s father whether he would permit him to marry her.

The public had enough of the couple’s connection ever since Miyuki’s overly sentimental revelation. As a result, rather than serving as a finale to either, the manga’s ending will seem more like an epilogue.
