Long Lost Christmas Filming Locations:

The “Long Lost Christmas” filming locations shown in the movie were mostly located in British Columbia, more specifically in the ‘Fraser Valley. Probably starting in September 2022 and wrapping up in October of that same year, the rom-com’s principal photography got underway in September. Let’s now visit each of the specific locations that are mentioned in the Hallmark film!

British Columbia’s Fraser Valley:

The majority of “Long Lost Christmas” was shot in the area located in southwest British Columbia called Fraser Valley, just in northwestern Washington State. A small town in the Eastern Fraser Valley called Agassiz, which is close to Chilliwack, served as the location for crucial moments that the actors and crew recorded.

In the adjoining town of Harrison Hot Springs, near the Harrison Lake Southern End, additional scenes for the film were filmed. The pristine location at 7550 Rockwell Drive at The Rockwell Harrison Guest Lodge Bed & Breakfast was the location where the production team specifically shot a number of scenes.

In an interview with the Chilliwack Progress, actor Benjamin Ayers talked about his unforgettable experience shooting there. “Agassiz-Harrison has been one of my favorite spots to film, to be honest,” he remarked.

He added, “Everyone in this place is extremely polite and kind. Naturally, I’ve known about it my entire life, but I wasn’t really aware of what it was or just how beautiful this entire area and this adorable little town of Agassiz was on a natural level.

Due to the abundance of places we can utilize between the two, they are perfect for a Hallmark movie. The scenery is breathtaking”. The Fraser Valley’s landscape is so gorgeous that it brings together beautiful mountains, lakes, rivers, and woods in one location. ‘Taking a Shot at Love’ and ‘Stakeout’ are two other films that were filmed there.

Long Lost Christmas Plot Recap:

Interior designer Hayley, who knows her mother Patricia longs for an extended family, intends to surprise Patricia this Christmas with the ideal holiday gift: the extended family. Although Hayley believes she and her mother get along just well on their own, she has lately learned that Patricia’s brother was a long-lost relative.

For Christmas, Hayley wants to locate him and bring the two siblings back together. She leaves Denver for a small village to follow up on a tip about Gordon, the owner of a cabin construction business who she believes might be her uncle. The fact that the town is decorated for Christmas makes Hayley very happy.

She finds Gordon, his daughter Brianna, and Jake, the property manager, to be equally charming. Hayley begins to fall in love with Jake, the concept of an extended family, and the charm of the town as she searches for answers about if Gordon is indeed her long-lost uncle.

Hayley reconsiders her course of action and decides to back out of her mission after learning the reasons for the siblings’ separation. Gordon, on the other hand, is relieved to get a clue about Patricia’s whereabouts. But will he be able to reunite the family in time for Christmas?
