Before getting his breakthrough role, he starred in Little Bill as the voice of Bobby and played a character in Sesame Street from 2000 to 2005.
In 2005 he played the title character in the hit series Everybody Hates Chris. This role was what brought him the fame and recognition he needed as an actor. He was 13 when he started the role, a bare teenager. When the Series ended in 2009, he was almost 18. His performance in the show earned him a Young Artist Award in 2007.
After the Series ended, he went on to do a guest appearance in Series like Two for the Money and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. In 2009 he also appeared in True Jackson season 2. He played the part of True’s love interest.

In 2012, he also played the role of Cyrus DeBarge in the movie Let It Shine by Disney Channel. It was a lead role. He was cast along with Coco Jones, Trevor Jackson, and Brandon Mychal Smith. The same year he guest starred in Lab Rats, a Disney XD series.
It was the same Series his brother Tyrel Jackson Williams was a part of, and his role was to be his brother’s future self. Now that must be one accurate portrayal of the future self. In 2014, he was cast as Noah on the television series The Walking Dead. He had a recurring role in the hit series.
His recent project includes the movie The Wedding Year; it is a Young adult Romcom film Directed by Robert Luketic and stars Tyler Williams as ‘Jake’ along with Sarah Hyland, Jenna Dewan, Matt Shively, and Anna Camp. In 2020, he acted in the movie The Argument.
His most recent project is an ABC sitcom, Abbott Elementary. It is a hit Mockumentary style sitcom that premiered in 2021, with two seasons as of 2023 and a renewed season three for the new year. His role as Gregory Eddie earned him an Emmy nomination for outstanding actor in a comedy series.

This 30-year-old actor’s relationship status is assumed to be single. As of now, no details are known about any partner in his life. His past girlfriends include Karina Pasena. This thirty-year-old singer was rumored to be in a relationship with Tyler, though there is no official confirmation as to whether they have dated or not. There were photos of them photographed together, but nothing was confirmed by both party.
There was also news about him dating Russian American actress Anastasia Baranova. Nothing much is known about how they began their relationship, but they made their relationship official in 2017. The pair even made it Instagram official by posting each other’s pictures on Instagram.
