Julian Sands recently made headlines after being reported as missing on 13 January 2023. He was hiking in the San Gabriel Mountains, northeast of Los Angeles when this unfortunate event happened. Upon checking his mobile signals his last location was known and it was near Mount Baldy. But an air-and-land search could only find his car, there was no sign of him anywhere near it.

Though he is settled in America he began his film career by appearing in British films such as The Killing Field and Oxford Blues. He had a supporting role in both of these films. In the BBC’s adaptation of The Box of Delights which premiered in 1984, he appeared as a Greek soldier.
His breakthrough came with the movie A Room With a View. He was cast as a romantic lead in this movie. It premiered in 1985 and was a huge success. He was then cast in another hit movie Gothic directed by Ken Russell.

After the success of these movies, he decided to move to Hollywood to expand his film career. Sands decided to move to Hollywood and pursue a career in American films. In Hollywood, he appeared in both low-budget and high-budget films.
In the 90s he acted in movies including Warlock series, Impromptu, and Naked Lunch. His roles in Arachnophobia, Boxing Helena, and Leaving Las Vegas got him some recognition. He has played the lead role of the phantom in a horror-film adaptation of The Phantom of the Opera.
He has also done theater performances. In August 2011 he became a part of the drama A Celebration of Harold Pinter, directed by John Malkovich. It was at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival at the Pleasance Courtyard.
It received so much critical appreciation that it was later played at the Irish Repertory Theatre in New York. His performance in this earned him an ‘outstanding Solo Performance’ nomination for the 58th Annual Drama Desk Award.

She is the daughter of the Anglo-Irish novelist and socialite Lady Caroline Blackwood and composer-pianist Citkowitz. In this marriage, he has two daughters. On the 18th of January, the police were able to find his abandoned car. The next day his children joined the search party to find their father. His phone was last tracked on 15th January, it’s been almost a week and no data is available.
The police assume that he ran out of battery, which is the reason why it is getting harder to track his phone. According to the police report, there was evidence of avalanches. This is making it difficult to resume the search party. The police are still doing their best and doing an air search.
