Talking about films, fans will get to see Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania – February 17, 2023, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 – May 5, 2023, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse – June 2, 2023, The Marvels – July 28, 2023, and Kraven the Hunter – October 6, 2023.

You must already know that Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania hit the theatres on February 17, 2023, and people are not able to remain cool. They are going crazy. I mean, cmon who won’t? After all, we are talking about Marvel.

We all know about Ant-Man and the story behind him, but to those who are still oblivious to him, there’s nothing to worry about. After all, what are we here for?

To those who are not quite familiar with Ant-Man, he’s a fictional superhero in Marvel Cinematic Universe. Paul Rudd is playing the role of Scott Lang or Ant-Man. Before becoming a superhero, he was an ex-con who got a chance to do something good after failing in the eyes of his daughter and taking over the mantle of the famous Ant-Man.

He uses his size manipulation technology to infiltrate bases and also to intimidate bad guys. Ant-Man always tries to do the right thing ignoring the fact that he is commanding an insect army or standing tall at 65 feet. He always stood against evil. One such evil is M.O.D.O.K.

Now, who is this M.O.D.O.K.? So much to remember. Uffff! Don’t worry. Let’s see who is this new but old entry in the Marvels villain list.

Who’s M.O.D.O.K.?

You ought to confuse if you haven’t watched previous installments of Ant-Man before watching Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. In the movie, M.O.D.O.K. appears, who appeared to have died in the first movie only. But apparently, a villain never dies to die but only to come back. Over dramatic, I know, but true, and you know it.

Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania

M.O.D.O.K., whose original name is Darren Cross, is played by Corey Stoll. In Ant-Man, he steals back the Yellowjacket suit and gets himself into a war with Scott Lang (Ant-Man). The Yellowjacket is a suit that is created by Scott. It is his weapon and the version of Ant-Man.

During the battle, both Scott and Darden end up in Cassie’s bedroom, Scott’s six-year-old daughter. Cross used Cassie to threaten Lang by hurting her and also by shutting down his suit. Scott has to go subatomic to get into it, which leads them to Quantum Realm, from which only Scott is able to get out, closing his chapter for good.

But, after the third installment was released, it seems that that’s not the case.

M.O.D.O.K. in Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania

Darren Cross, who is originally played by Corey Stoll, didn’t appear in the second installment of the film, Ant-Man, and the Wasp. He came back in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania as M.O.D.O.K. ( Mechanized Organism Designed Only For Killing). Scott later said that it should be M.O.D.O.F.K. instead of M.O.D.O.K.

In the recent sequel, Cassie and Hank were tinkering with a signal that could connect them to the Quantum Realm. After Janet ( Michelle Pfeiffer) got to know about it, she demanded they turn it off, but before they could do that, they got sucked in. Hope, Janet, and Hank are in one part, whereas Cassie and Scott are in another. When Cassie and Scott were trying to reunite with the three, they got captured by M.O.D.O.K.

Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania

M.O.D.O.K. again tried to kill Cassie, old habits die hard. Both get into a fight, and Cassie is finally able to figure out how to increase her size and make herself big and is able to stop him. Cassie told him to stop being a dick and also to think for himself.

During the fight between good and bad, M.O.D.O.K. did something good. He broke Kang’s force field, due to which ants that were organized by Hank were able to rush Kang, eventually taking him down for good.

Apart from Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, he also appeared in a web series W.H.I.H. Newsfront W.H.I.H. Newsfront, which was aired on July 13, 2015, and was mentioned in WHIH EXCLUSIVE: Scott Lang Interview ( July 16, 2015).
