Secret Invasion: Filming Locations
In Secret Invasion, we see that the aliens, who are called The Skrull Species, attack not only one or two countries but the whole planet, and that is why we get to see different locations from the world where the attack has happened. But does it mean the crew of Secret Invasion has traveled all around to get the required scenes? Definitely not. Due to the budget and time restrictions traveling to different countries was not possible for the team.
That is why fetching out the perfect locations was indeed a difficult task for the creators, but finally, they managed to select some locations which would perfectly go with this amazing MCU series. Finally, The filming of Secret Invasion started in September 2021 and ended after one year, in August 2022, in the city of London, United Kingdom.
Halifax, West Yorkshire
The first episode of Secret Invasion, where we get to see Vossoyedineniye Square of Moscow, was filmed in one of the largest towns in England, Haliflex, which is based in West Yorkshire. Additionally, there are many locations from Haliflex that have become the filming locations of Secret Invasion. So, if you ever travel to this beautiful town, then do not forget to visit Dean Clough Mills and an Old Mill Factory, which were transformed into the locations of Moscow.

The filming in Haliflex took around one week, and after that, the crew moved to a different location in England only. Also, there are various tourist attractions in Haliflex, which you would love to travel to apart from the Secret Invasion filming location. So, make your way to historical landmarks, Piece Hall, the church Halifax Minster, Halifax Town Hall, Borough Market, People’s Park, and Wainhouse Tower.
Hatfield House Library, Hertfordshire
Hatfield House, which is located in Hertfordshire, England, has been the primary filming location for many historical and action films and shows. In Secret Invasion, the library, which is located inside Hatfield’s house, is used for the scene where Nick Fury and Sonya Falsworth, the main characters of Secret Invasion, discuss the attacks happening all around.

Leeds and Huddersfield, West Yorkshire
A significant part of Secret Invasion was filmed in the city of Leeds, which is based in West Yorkshire. There was one scene in which Emilia Clarke’s character performed where it was depicted that she was in Moscow and was, in fact, in Leeds. To be exact, near Dakota Hotel, between Bond Court and Greek Street. On January 22, 2023, many locals witnessed them shooting near many locations in Leeds.

Huddersfield, another filming location of Secret Invasion, was used on 24th January 2022 to film some scenes. This is a market town based in West Yorkshire, England, and is rich in community and culture. Apart from Secret Invasion, Huddersfield is known for being the primary filming location of the films, Between Two Women, The Jealous God, Last Of The Summer Wine, Black Work, and Where The Heart Is.
London, Greater London

The first location in London that could easily be identified as London’s historical landmark, Queen Anne’s Alcove, is located in Kensington Garden and was depicted in the first episode of Secret Invasion. Berners Tavern, which was portrayed in Secret Invasion, is, in fact, a real location in London, which was remodeled a bit to fulfill the purpose of the scenes. Additionally, Liverpool Street Station and Brixton Village are the locations where the crew of Secret Invasion was seen by the locals.
Atlanta and Los Angeles, USA
Even though the major part of Secret Invasion was filmed in England, many scenes are taken in the major cities of the USA, Atlanta, and Los Angeles as well. As Atlanta, located in Georgia, and Los Angeles, located in California, has already become the primary location for many MCU films and series.
