Kylie Jenner Sparks Controversy with Deleted Instagram Post Supporting Israel Amidst Escalating Conflict. According to reports, Kylie Jenner briefly posted and then swiftly deleted an Instagram story expressing support for Israel following an attack by Hamas on Israel over the weekend. Her recent Instagram posts, the latest being four days ago, have been inundated with support for Palestinians after she removed the controversial story.
In response to Jenner’s deleted post, her followers flooded her comments section with images of the Palestinian flag and calls for “Free Palestine.” Jenner had shared a post from the account @StandWithUS, which read, “Now and always, we stand with the people of Israel.”
Business Insider reported that Jenner removed the story approximately an hour after posting it, but pro-Palestinian comments continued to dominate her Instagram feed. Meanwhile, Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, officially declared a “war” on Sunday in response to the Hamas attack, calling for a substantial military response.
Netanyahu stated in a video message on Saturday, “Citizens of Israel, we are at war — not in an operation, not in rounds — at war.”
Hamas militants had launched a surprise rocket attack that resulted in the deaths of at least 600 Israelis and injuries to over 2,000 more. Additionally, the group had taken numerous hostages within Gaza, and the Israeli military was gearing up for an imminent engagement.
Israel’s security cabinet also declared war on Sunday, paving the way for “significant military activities,” as announced by Netanyahu’s office, according to the Times of Israel.
As of now, Kylie Jenner’s team has not responded to requests for comments on the matter. In the international arena, President Biden and other cabinet officials have condemned the attacks, reaffirming the United States’ support for Israel.
