Drake Addresses His Friendship with Millie Bobby Brown in New Song In a track titled “Another Late Night” from his latest album, “For All The Dogs,” released on October 6, Drake, aged 36, opens up about his friendship with actress Millie Bobby Brown, who is 17 years his junior.
In the song, he raps, “Weirdos in my comments talkin’ ’bout some Millie Bobby, look,” and continues, “Bring them jokes up to the gang, we get to really flockin’ / Or send a finger to your mama in some FedEx boxes / Open up that s–t, it’s jaw droppin’, really shockin’.”
This friendship first caught the public’s attention in 2018 when Millie shared that she and Drake were close, with him offering advice on relationships. She mentioned, “I met him in Australia,” recalling the time when she was just 14. “And he’s honestly so fantastic. And a great friend and a great role model, you know we text—we just texted each other the other day and he was like, ‘I miss you so much,’ and I was like, ‘I miss you more!'”
While Millie’s statements made headlines, her age-gap friendship with Drake sparked discussions. However, she defended their connection by addressing the public, saying, “Why u gotta make a lovey friendship ur headline? U guys are weird… for real. I’m lucky to have people in the business extend their time to help me further my career and offer their wisdom and guidance. I’m very blessed to have amazing people in my life. U don’t get to choose that for me.”
She concluded her message by urging everyone to focus on more pressing global issues, stating, “It’s nice to have people who understand what I do. Now get back to talking about real problems in this world other than my friendships… jeez.”
