Country Sensation Chris Stapleton Delays Concerts Due to Illness. Country music sensation Chris Stapleton has announced the postponement of his upcoming concerts due to a bout of illness. Taking to Instagram, he conveyed his regrets to his fans in Corpus Christi, Houston, and Lafayette, stating, “I am very sorry to let you all know that I am unable to perform this weekend’s shows.”

Stapleton revealed that he is battling bronchitis and laryngitis, with his doctors recommending vocal rest over the weekend to facilitate his recovery. In a gracious gesture to his dedicated fans, he provided rescheduled dates for the affected shows in November. The revised schedule includes a performance in Lafayette, Louisiana, on November 16, followed by concerts in Houston on November 17 and Corpus Christi, Texas, on November 18.

For those unable to attend the rescheduled shows, Stapleton encouraged them to reach out to the ticket providers, saying, “For those who cannot attend, please contact your point of purchase within the next seven days.”

The eight-time Grammy Award winner received an outpouring of support from fans as he temporarily paused his “All American Road Show” tour. Fans flooded social media with well-wishes, one stating, “Get well soon and take care, Chris!! That’s the most important thing, buddy.” Another comment read, “Rest up, Chris… and the rest of your show. Y’all have been going hard for more than a year.”

While many showed understanding and support, some expressed disappointment about the last-minute cancellation, with one fan expressing, “Oh no, it’s a letdown!”

This isn’t the first time Stapleton’s health has been impacted by laryngitis, as he previously faced a similar setback in October 2021 when his doctor advised temporary vocal rest to recover.

Despite these challenges, Chris Stapleton’s “All American Road Show” tour has a busy schedule, with performances slated until December 2024, including stops in cities like Detroit, Chicago and even overseas in the U.K.

Stapleton is also gearing up for the release of his upcoming album, “Higher,” set to hit the shelves in November, featuring a new single titled “White Horse.”

In addition to his tour and album, Stapleton made a memorable appearance at the opening of Super Bowl LVII in 2023, where he delivered a remarkable country-style rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” while strumming a black electric guitar.
