Vergara, 51, looked stunning in a black lace corset paired with plum velvet wide-leg pants and black strappy heels. She completed her look with a deep red clutch. In contrast, Saliman, who was previously married to Grimm actress Bree Turner, opted for a smart-casual look with a dark shirt and jeans.
The duo was seen both inside the restaurant and later in a car driven by the orthopedic surgeon on that Friday evening. A source close to Vergara revealed to PEOPLE that the actress is “dating and having fun,” noting that she is embracing life with positivity and energy. The insider added, “Sofia has been handling the divorce well. It wasn’t an easy decision, but she is doing great now.”

According to his website, Saliman practices in Beverly Hills and is a Stanford sports medicine-trained orthopedic surgeon operating out of Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. His website also mentions his time at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, where he worked with the San Francisco 49ers and various university athletic teams during a medical fellowship.
This public appearance with Saliman comes after Vergara and her husband of seven years, Joe Manganiello, announced their divorce in July. They married in Palm Beach, Florida, in November 2015. In a statement to Page Six, the couple shared, “We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect for our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.” Manganiello filed for divorce two days later, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
On the other hand, Saliman separated from Bree Turner in 2018 after she filed for divorce. The couple tied the knot in 2008 and have two children together. Turner cited “irreconcilable differences” and requested joint legal custody of their children.
Recently, a source revealed to PEOPLE that Joe Manganiello is dating actress Caitlin O’Connor, and the two were seen spending time together out of town. The insider mentioned their great chemistry, noting, “They’re both really funny together. He laughs at her a lot because she’ll crack these witty jokes.” This new romance apparently began when they first met at an “unofficial” post-premiere party for the HBO drama about the Los Angeles Lakers’ ’80s heyday, held in a hot tub.
