Matthew McConaughey and Camila McConaughey are boldly stepping into the world of tequila, shedding more than just inhibitions along the way.
This week, the dynamic married duo introduced their latest venture: Pantalones Organic Tequila. With a playful nod to their product’s moniker, they chose to unveil this exciting project in a rather unconventional way – through a cheeky video that left little to the imagination in terms of their attire.
In the video, the couple kicks off the adventure, roaring away on their motorcycles through a lush agave field. Matthew humorously poses a question, “When did tequila stop being tequila?” To which Camila adds, “Right? Where’s the fun?”
Both sporting matching aviator sunglasses and casual button-down shirts, it quickly becomes apparent that their fashion choices extend only as far as the top half of their bodies – the screen discreetly obscures the area below the belt. Unfazed by their unconventional presentation, they venture down a dirt path, their gazes set on the horizon.

Following a toast to their latest endeavor, the clip playfully showcases them from behind, their lower halves still strategically blurred. In good humor, they quip, “Please do not keep yours on.”
In a joint statement, the McConaugheys playfully remark, “Pantalones Organic Tequila – the best thing we’ve made with our pants on.”
The Pantalones Tequila collection encompasses three distinct varieties. The Blanco offers notes of honey and citrus, while the Reposado, aged for nine months, boasts a fruitier profile with a fresh oak undertone. For those with a penchant for aged spirits, the Añejo, aged for 15 months, delights the palate with flavors of vanilla, butterscotch, and maple, as per the official release.
Matthew recently shared insights into his sense of humor, which shines through in the promotional video. He attributes it to his family, including his mother, Kay McConaughey, who appreciates a good laugh. Camila reminisced about the early days of their relationship when Kay would humorously mix up her name with those of Matthew’s ex-girlfriends, creating an amusing dynamic that ultimately brought them closer.
Speaking about their family traditions, Matthew expressed on ET Canada in September, “My family is big on rites of passage and initiation, and you don’t get into the McConaughey family easily.”
