Diaz was so enthralled with Madden’s musical compositions that she was unable to hold back her joy, calling them “the best songs” that she could not get out of her brain because Raddix, who is a lyricist, is the one to whom he sings them. At the “When We Were Young” festival in Las Vegas, where Madden and his brother Joel, the other member of the band, stormed the stage, Cameron Diaz also talked about her experience going to see Good Charlotte perform. Tens of thousands of concertgoers enthusiastically sang along to every word of their songs, displaying a side of her husband’s talents that Diaz had never seen before, and Diaz was stunned by this.
