Justin Timberlake has disabled comments on his Instagram following the release of Britney Spears’ memoir, “The Woman in Me,” which has shed light on Timberlake’s alleged past behavior, including claims of infidelity during their previous relationship. In her memoir, Spears also discloses that she kissed choreographer Wade Robson while still dating Timberlake.

Spears, who is now 41 years old, reveals in her book that from 1999 to 2002, the duration of their relationship, she was once expecting Timberlake’s child. She claims that former *NSYNC band member Justin Timberlake persuaded her to get an abortion, which she finally did.

Spears describes her intense love for Justin in her book, saying, “I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated.” She then describes Justin’s reluctance about the pregnancy, mentioning that he felt they weren’t ready for parenthood at their young age.

It was important that no one find out about the pregnancy or the abortion, which meant doing everything at home, Spears writes in the chapter about it. “We didn’t even tell my family. The only other person who knew besides Justin and me was Felicia [Culotta, Spears’ former assistant], who was always on hand to help me. I was told, ‘It might hurt a little bit, but you’ll be fine.'”

Spears recalls in the book that Timberlake, now 42, sought to comfort her during this trying time. Justin “came into the bathroom and laid on the floor with me,” she says, adding that he even tried to console her by strumming his guitar.

Spears’ remarks, which were read aloud in the audiobook by actress Michelle Williams, have not yet elicited a response from Timberlake. But he has previously expressed remorse for his earlier behavior and shown support for Spears in her struggle to release her 13-year conservatorship.

Timberlake delivered a sincere Instagram apology in February 2021 for his previous treatment of Janet Jackson and Britney Spears. He admitted both his flaws and the system that permitted racism and misogyny. He made personal apologies to Jackson and Spears separately.

He used the social media site X (formerly known as Twitter) that year to push for the removal of Spears’ conservatorship, which was accomplished in November 2021. Regardless of their past, he highlighted the value of supporting Spears.

In an exclusive email interview prior to the book’s launch, Spears conveyed her determination to speak out directly to her fans, dispelling any conspiracies or falsehoods. She aims to take ownership of her past, present, and future.
