In Britney Spears’ autobiography, “The Woman In Me,” she reminisces about her close bond with her older brother, Bryan Spears, during their childhood. Their connection deepened after Bryan was involved in a four-wheeler accident that left him in a full-body cast. Following the accident, Britney slept in her brother’s room for several years.
She expressed in her book, “The accident made me much closer to my brother. Our bond was formed out of my sincere, genuine recognition of his pain.” This sleeping arrangement persisted until she reached the sixth grade, as she felt protective of Bryan and was aware of their father, Jamie Spears, high expectations for him.
Years later, in 2003, Bryan became a part of Britney’s management team. Let’s explore his involvement in Britney’s career, the conservatorship, and his life today.

Bryan, now 46 years old, began working for Britney in the early 2000s, taking on the role of overseeing “financial business development” within her management team. He described his position as a “top cop” responsible for safeguarding Britney’s financial interests.
This was revealed during his appearance on the “As NOT Seen on TV” podcast in 2020. Bryan remained on her management team from 2003 to 2009. In her memoir, Britney recalls Bryan’s role in facilitating lucrative business deals, such as her partnership with Elizabeth Arden in 2004, which contributed to the growth of her empire, including her fragrance line.
Interestingly, Bryan seems to have been more publicly involved in the career of his younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. He is credited as a producer on Jamie Lynn’s successful Nickelodeon series, “Zoey 101,” from 2005 to 2007, and he also directed Jamie Lynn’s 2016 music video for “Sleepover (Nashville Sessions).”
NBC 4 Washington reported that Bryan was approved to receive $200,000 for the management services he provided to Britney before the conservatorship was established. Additionally, he served as one of the trustees of a trust created in Britney’s name.
While Britney has been vocal about her estrangement from her father, Jamie, her mother, Lynne Spears, and her sister, Jamie Lynn, her relationship with her brother Bryan has been less discussed. However, in June 2022, shortly after her wedding to Sam Asghari, Britney denied inviting Bryan to the event, responding to a now-deleted Instagram post from Bryan’s girlfriend, who claimed they skipped the wedding to attend their daughter’s graduation. Britney’s response indicated unresolved issues within their relationship.
In “The Woman In Me,” Britney alludes to her relationship with Bryan becoming strained about a year after he began working for her during her “The Onyx Hotel” tour. Details about their relationship in 2023 remain scarce, but Page Six reported in August that they put aside their differences to support Britney amid her divorce from Asghari. A source mentioned that Bryan has been staying with Britney and assisting her alongside a therapist.
Bryan’s current occupation is unclear. Over the years, he has managed both Jamie Lynn and Britney and worked as a television producer. At one point, he owned a seafood restaurant, Granny’s, which was given to him by Jamie but later sold.
He married Jamie Lynn’s former manager, Graciella Sanchez, in 2009, and they have a daughter named Sophia “Lexie” Spears, born in May 2011. However, Sanchez filed for divorce in 2015. Bryan is currently in a relationship with Amber Lynn Conklin, a social media influencer, and they maintain a joint travel Instagram account as a couple.
