Pop sensation Britney Spears recently asserted that she was completely unaware of Kevin Federline’s existing child and the impending arrival of another when they initiated their relationship back in 2004. This revelation stems from her newly published tell-all memoir, “The Woman In Me.”
Nevertheless, Shar Jackson has come forward, disputing Britney’s narrative in her memoir. Jackson alleges that the pop star was present outside the hospital when Jackson gave birth. In 2004, Jackson claimed that Britney was seated in a concealed SUV outside the hospital while her boyfriend, Kevin Federline, went inside to witness the birth of their second child, Kaleb.
In an excerpt from “The Woman In Me,” Britney insists that her ignorance of Kevin’s fatherhood status was due to her isolation in a bubble without close friends to confide in. She writes, “I had no idea until after we’d been together for a while, and someone told me, ‘You know he has a new baby, right?’”
However, Shar Jackson has a different account of what happened. By the disclosure, she experienced betrayal and hurt. She even claims that Kevin had already met Britney when she and Kevin already had three kids. Kevin had become the stepfather to Jackson’s two oldest kids in addition to their daughter, Kora.
Shar went on to say that she had already become pregnant when Kevin and Britney met. Kevin missed a three-day period of communication because of an audition he had at the time in Los Angeles. Later, when he was out with friends, she found out that Kevin and Britney had met at a bar. She was shocked and felt deceived by this information, feeling angry.
Shar reveals that she had previously met Britney when she was dating Justin Timberlake from 1999 to 2002. While they didn’t become close friends, they maintained a respectful and cordial relationship.
Shar recalls her relationship with Kevin and explains that they moved in together after a year and got engaged following the birth of their daughter, Kori. She was madly in love with Kevin since he was not only attractive but also adopted a paternal role with her two older kids.
Despite the conflict, Shar tried to mend her relationship with Kevin but came to see pictures of him and Britney together in the press. She addressed Kevin and made it obvious that he had to determine whether or not he would be a part of the children’s lives when faced with the circumstances.
Following the birth of Shar’s kid, Kaleb, Kevin decided to stay with Britney, and the two soon got engaged. Prior to their separation in 2006 and subsequent divorce the following year, they were married in September 2004 and had two kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
Shar insists that despite these incidents, she and Kevin are still good friends and that she has no animosity against Britney Spears. She acknowledges that Britney and Kevin’s relationship was built on shaky ground and sees it as a fantasy for both of them. A relationship established on such a foundation, in Shar’s opinion, is unlikely to last.
In her memoir, Britney wrote about her marriage to Kevin, expressing her genuine commitment. However, she also observed how fame and power gradually consumed him, ultimately leading to the end of their relationship. She reflects on the destructive influence of fame and money, witnessing its impact on Kevin’s life in slow motion.
Britney Spears’ tell-all memoir, “The Woman In Me,” was officially released on October 24, 2023.
