In a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, 47-year-old Travis Barker addressed the unfounded rumors linking him to the ongoing feud between sisters Kourtney and Kim Kardashian, deeming them “ridiculous.” The speculation had arisen due to his admission in his 2016 memoir about having a crush on Kim nearly two decades ago. However, he made it clear that his past feelings for the SKIMS founder had no bearing on the current state of their relationship.
The Blink-182 drummer expressed his frustration with how a minor detail from his memoir led to wild assumptions about the sisters’ feud, stating, “You give people a little information and they think they’ve solved the mystery of ‘this is why they’re fighting.’ It’s just so ridiculous.” In his book, Barker candidly wrote about finding Kim attractive and discreetly checking her out while he was dating Paris Hilton at the time, but he emphasized that this was merely a part of his past.
Addressing concerns about his reputation, Barker mentioned, “It’s like, ‘Kourtney’s fans are worried about Travis. He’s a womanizer.’ Stop it,” further explaining that he included these personal details in his memoir as a form of therapy and an effort to move forward. He also made it clear that Kourtney was fully aware of their past interactions and that nothing negative had transpired.
Furthermore, Barker reassured his wife Kourtney that he had no ill will toward her sister based on his previous remarks. In the past, Kim Kardashian herself shot off rumors that she and Barker were romantically involved, reaffirming their friendship and expressing joy when they started dating.
There may be a chance for peace in the ongoing conflict between the Kardashian sisters. Kim’s collection with Dolce & Gabbana, which debuted soon after Kourtney’s wedding was styled by the same fashion house, sparked the dispute. The sisters argued in an episode of “The Kardashians,” with Kim claiming that Kourtney had drawn inspiration from her own 2014 wedding to Kanye West. Both sisters appeared to be prepared to make a move despite the conflict’s rising intensity.
Despite the hostilities, Kim responded to Corey Gamble’s post on Instagram in a lighthearted manner, tagging Kourtney and including a puzzling emoji. Kourtney also shared her want to move on from the past on Kim’s 43rd birthday, highlighting the benefits of sisterhood and wishing her sister well.
Travis Barker has clarified his role in the conflict between the Kardashian sisters and emphasized that his earlier attraction to Kim was unrelated to the current events. It appears that the sisters are also open to putting their differences aside and rediscovering their sisterhood.
