Russell Brand, the British actor and comedian, faces another accusation amidst a series of sexual assault allegations. The latest accuser asserts that in 2010, while on the set of the film “Arthur,” Brand exposed his genitals before sexually assaulting her in a restroom. This claim came to light through a motion disclosed by The Daily Beast. The unidentified woman seeks anonymity under the Adult Survivor’s Act for an impending lawsuit.
According to the motion, the alleged assault transpired on July 7, 2010. Brand, who portrayed the central character in “Arthur” during the pinnacle of his Hollywood career, reportedly exposed himself in full view of the cast and crew, appearing inebriated and holding a bottle of vodka. Later that day, the woman alleges that Brand followed her into a bathroom and sexually assaulted her while some of the film’s production crew stood guard outside the door. The motion did not provide further details on the alleged assault.

Requests for comments from a legal representative for Brand and Warner Bros. Pictures, the film’s producer, went unanswered by The Daily Beast on Friday. Although the woman’s identity remains undisclosed, the motion filed on October 7 identifies her as a current actor within the industry. She seeks anonymity to avoid potential blacklisting from acting opportunities, harassment from Brand’s fans, and the associated embarrassment and shame.
The accuser further contends that she was not invited back to the set of “Arthur” following the alleged assault, despite initially being scheduled to work for three days. She claims she was compensated for only one day of work.
In September, Brand faced accusations of sexual assault from four women during an investigation by British publications, including the Times of London, the Sunday Times, and Channel 4. These alleged assaults occurred between 2006 and 2013.
One of the accusers accused Brand of raping her without a condom against a wall in his Los Angeles home. Another woman, also in Los Angeles, alleged that Brand assaulted her while they worked together, and when she confronted him, he became extremely angry.
The other two accusers claimed they were assaulted in the United Kingdom. One of them asserted that she was only 16 when she had sexual contact with Brand, who she described as engaging in grooming behaviors. The other accuser stated that Brand was physically and emotionally abusive.
As these allegations emerged, British stand-up comedian London Hughes disclosed that individuals who had worked with Brand in the past warned her that the actor, now 48 years old, was known for pursuing women he worked with, engaging in sexual relationships, and then severing contact.
