After dating for little more than a year, Lori Harvey and Damson Idris have made the decision to split up. The ex-couple said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter that they are at a point in their lives where they must devote their respective endeavors to their all focus and devotion. In spite of their parting, they made it clear that they are parting friendly, with a deep love and respect for one another, as well as gratitude for their time together.
As of now, there has been no response from the representatives of Harvey and Idris regarding any additional details about their breakup.
This development follows shortly after Lori Harvey celebrated Damson Idris’s 32nd birthday with a heartfelt Instagram post in September, where she affectionately referred to him as her “twin.”
Lori Harvey’s 26th birthday celebrations on January 13th made their relationship public. The duo was pictured departing hand in hand during this event, and noteworthy attendees included Lil Nas X, Lizzo, Justin and Hailey Bieber, Kendall Jenner, and Idris’ close pal Daniel Kaluuya.

The premiere of Idris’s show, “Snowfall,” in February marked the couple’s first red carpet appearance together. Apart from their public appearances, they had a number of holidays, the first one being a trip to Turks & Caicos soon after their relationship was confirmed.
They were spotted together in London in the spring of 2023, going to the Serpentine Summer Party in June and Beyoncé’s concert in May. The couple was also seen holding hands on the beach and taking in the picturesque French town during their romantic vacation on a hired yacht with the Harvey family in Saint-Tropez. In mid-August, they took a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, to continue their summertime escapades.
More recently, in anticipation of Damson Idris’s 32nd birthday, the couple embarked on a delightful trip to Disneyland.
In an interview with Teyana Taylor for Bumble Presents Luv2SeeIt, Lori Harvey discussed empowerment both inside and outside of relationships. She underlined the need to uphold one’s morals, principles, and demands in a romantic relationship and stressed the necessity of making sure one’s love is directed toward the appropriate person in order to prevent emotional exhaustion.
