She voiced her worry on Instagram stories, pointing out the terrible state of affairs where people are imprisoned without access to water or electricity and stressing how Gaza is currently looking like a concentration camp. She criticized the current occurrences as ethnic cleansing and genocide and underlined how we have failed to learn from the past.

The Scream franchise’s parent company, Spyglass, issued a statement after the article’s original release in which it condemned hate speech and racism, including fabrications about genocide, ethnic cleansing, and Holocaust denial. The business declared that it would tolerate no such content at all.

Barrera’s in-depth postings regarding the conflict since Hamas entered Israel on October 7 are mentioned in the article. Barrera brought the Scream franchise back to life with the 2022 film, which brought in $137.7 million worldwide. Barrera was fired by Spyglass, though, and Christopher Landon will now helm Scream VII. Paramount, which distributed the previous two installments, is anticipated to return for the new picture.

Astonished by the circumstances, director Christopher Landon said that Barrera’s firing was not his decision. The story also mentions that actor Susan Sarandon’s remarks made on November 17 at a pro-Palestinian event in New York City led to her being dumped by talent agency UTA.
