“Sometimes, I get gripped with fear of blowing it,” Roberts revealed. “And sometimes, I’ve just said to my kids, ‘So today, me as a mom? Can we just take that off the board? Because I blew it.'”
Despite her iconic status in romantic comedies, Roberts intentionally slowed down her career after becoming a mother. In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, she emphasized the intentional shift in priorities, focusing on the life she has built with her husband and children, far removed from the intense scrutiny of Hollywood’s spotlight.
“The life that I’ve built with my husband,” Roberts explained, “The life that we’ve built with our children. And that’s the best stuff … The point is to come home at the end of the day triumphantly to them.”
