The actress and Perry had a brief romance lasting about three months in the 1990s, coinciding with Roberts’ guest appearance on “Friends.” Perry detailed their fleeting connection in his memoir, “Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing.” In the book, he recounted sending Roberts three dozen red roses with a card expressing excitement about her appearance on the show.

Describing Roberts as someone who seemed destined to make the world smile, Perry shared the joy he felt during their time together, comparing himself to a giddy 15-year-old on his first date.
During the “ET” interview, Roberts conveyed her positive sentiments about her time on the “Friends” set, where she played Chandler Bing, a former classmate of Perry’s character. She reminisced about the good memories and feelings associated with that experience.
