Ariana Madix has initiated legal proceedings against her former boyfriend, Tom Sandoval. Despite their tumultuous breakup last year, the pair co-own a residence in Los Angeles. According to court documents obtained on January 5, the Vanderpump Rules star is seeking a “partition by sale.” This involves requesting a judge to order the sale of the house and the fair distribution of the proceeds. This approach differs from the “division in-kind” option, where the property is divided between co-owners without selling it.
Ariana and Tom jointly acquired a five-bedroom home for $2 million in 2019. Ariana, who expressed a desire to distance herself from the property after discovering Tom’s infidelity with VPR co-star Rachel “Raquel” Leviss, shared on Watch What Happens Live in May her intention to quickly sever financial ties with the house.
Even though the ex-couple continued to reside in the same home, communication between them was carried out exclusively through their respective assistants acting as intermediaries. By December, the 38-year-old Ariana had opted to stay at an Airbnb while participating in Dancing With the Stars. However, she continued to shuttle between the rental and the shared home with Tom.
During a December 10 appearance on WWHL, Ariana highlighted the urgency of resolving the property ownership issue, acknowledging equal ownership with Tom. She openly disclosed her preference to sell the house, in contrast to Tom’s reluctance to do so.
