Gaming Tips You Can’t Miss This Week: Call Of Duty, Starfield, and Beyond

Call Of Duty, Starfield, And More Of The Week’s Essential Gaming Tips

The first half of January can be a slow time for new game releases, but that also makes it a great time to tick some boxes on your backlog or revisit some old favorites. Read on for some of this week’s essential strategies for Starfield, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, and some hackin’ great deals on Resident Evil remakes.

In 2019, Capcom blew our minds with a brutal remake of 1998’s Resident Evil 2, this time with a new camera perspective, modern graphics, and the return of two classic horror protagonists: Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield. Starting on January 16, you’ll be able to download this incredible remake as a part of your PlayStation Plus Premium and Extra subscriptions.

Starfield has a ton of features and ways to experience the game. But Outpost Building remains one of the most creative ways you can chart Bethesda’s enormous 1,000-planet galaxy. While there are optimal choices you can make to build the best Outpost setup for XP and resource farming, it can be fun to try and find the most aesthetically pleasing planet to build a home away from home. This guide will take both factors into consideration.

Capcom’s return to its 2005 third-person shooter horror classic, Resident Evil 4, sure managed to impress when it debuted last year. The remake was nominated for multiple awards at the Game Awards, was the winner of the Golden Joystick’s Game of the Year, and snagged a spot on Kotaku’s Best of 2023 list. But if you missed out on grabbing a copy, or if you were waiting around for a decent price, that time is now.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III’s Season 1 Reloaded goes live on Wednesday, January 17. As is customary for CoD’s Reloaded remix, the game will see a bunch of new guns, a new map, some new modes, and so much more. Here’s what you can look forward to when it all arrives next week. – Claire Jackson Read More

Modern consoles such as the Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and even the Nintendo Switch all have some pretty handy capture features. Want to grab an awesome screenshot? There’s a dedicated button. Even recording long clips on Xbox and PlayStation is rather easy. And it’s even easier to share these images and recordings with friends. But sometimes, it’s too easy to accidentally share things you’d rather your friends and family not see.

Hey, it’s a three-day weekend here in the States. That means more time for gaming. This weekend, we’re taking a look at some shooters, both the traditional “Boomer Shooter” and the team-based variety. But that’s not all. Ahead of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth’s release on January 26, now’s a good time to visit an excellent entry in an ongoing crime sim series.

Consumer electronics these days seem a little too willing to share your information. Smartphones are ever too eager to grab your data, and these days, you can barely trust Windows when it comes to ads and personal information collection. And video game consoles like the PS5 are no exception.

Fortnite’s latest update has brought with it more stuff that sounds too delicious to just be a video game consumable. FlowBerry Fizz is a random drop you can find on the island to juice both your shields and jump height.

Whether it’s part of a weekly challenge or you’re just looking to get great weapons fast, Fortnite’s Hot Spots are a reliable way to get your arsenal off to a solid start. Fortunately, they’re relatively easy to find. But be warned: You won’t be the only person heading there.
