Ellen Pompeo was gleaming with joy ahead of Monday’s Emmy Awards as she posed alongside her daughter Stella for a video.
“Thank you again to everyone who made this happen yesterday! We had the best night 👯♀️,” the “Grey’s Anatomy” star wrote via Instagram when sharing the clip on Tuesday.
Pompeo’s video showed her wearing her Emmy’s outfit and standing alongside the 14-year-old, whom she shares with husband Chris Ivery.
The mother-daughter duo grinned at each other while sharing an embrace before they hit the red carpet.
Pompeo rocked a translucent silver Monique Lhuillier shirt with a silver bra underneath. The sparkly top also featured a white collar and black tie.
She complemented her awards night look with a black silk maxi skirt and diamond stud earrings.
As for her daughter, the teenager sported a strapless black jumpsuit.
Pompeo also included a behind-the-scenes look at the less glamorous side of preparing for the red carpet.
The 54-year-old shared a video to her Instagram Story Tuesday showing her in the passenger seat of a vehicle with the seat completely reclined in an effort to not wrinkle her designer top.
Smiling in the car with Stella, the mother of three — she also shares Sienna May, 9, and Eli Christopher, 6, with Ivery — shouted, “This is like pilates!”
“Oh, the glamour…” she wrote atop the humorous clip.
Later in the evening, Pompeo made an appearance onstage at the Emmys alongside former “Grey’s Anatomy” cast members Katherine Heigl, Justin Chambers, James Pickens Jr., and Chandra Wilson.
While the show hasn’t garnered any Emmys for itself in a handful of years, the cast gathered onstage to present an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie (which ultimately went to Paul Walter Hauser for Apple TV+’s “Black Bird”).
“When the first episode of Grey’s Anatomy aired in March 2005, I’m not sure Shonda Rhimes knew that she had created a show that will have a lasting influence on television and create lifelong friendships,” Pompeo said during the awards ceremony.
Pompeo exited the series in 2022 after 19 seasons on the popular series.
“I am eternally grateful and humbled by the love and support you have all shown me, Meredith GREY, and the show for 19 seasons!” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “Through it all….none of it …would have been possible without the best fans in the world.”
“I love you madly and appreciate you right back. This isn’t your first time on the rollercoaster… you know the show must go on, and I’ll definitely be back to visit. With a lot of love and immense gratitude, XoE 🙏🏼❤️”
