Apologizing for the clutter in the background, Olivia acknowledged the need for a kitchen cleanup in the video. She expressed excitement about the forthcoming addition of wallpaper to the kitchen, aiming to eliminate the sterile atmosphere. She candidly remarked, “It’s not going to feel like … a prison,” followed by a pause and a knowing look at the camera, acknowledging the irony and preemptively discouraging any jokes at her expense.

The comparison arose as part of her discussion about revamping her kitchen, a focal point in the vlog posted on YouTube. In 2019, Lori Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Gianulli, faced public scrutiny for paying $500,000 to secure admission for Olivia and her sister, Isabella Rose, to the University of Southern California under false pretenses of being row recruits.
A year later, the couple pleaded guilty, leading to Lori Loughlin’s two-month prison sentence and Mossimo’s five-month sentence. Additionally, they were required to pay a total of $400,000 as part of their sentencing.
Olivia Jade, who has maintained an active presence on YouTube since 2014, faced a period of silence during her parents’ court appearances in connection to the bribery scandal.
