Hyatt Shares Expected Growth Trajectory for 2024, Includes Pipeline of 127,000 Rooms

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has revised its growth projections for 2024 and beyond. In 2023, the company’s pipeline reached 127,000 rooms worldwide, comprising nearly 40% of its existing room portfolio. Since its IPO, Hyatt’s hotel portfolio has nearly tripled, and the development pipeline has quadrupled, driven by conversions and acquisitions.

Mark Hoplamazian, Hyatt’s president and CEO, emphasized the intentional growth strategy, focusing on guest preferences, differentiation, and staying ahead of market trends. The luxury, resort, and lifestyle hotels have witnessed substantial growth, adding nearly 90,000 rooms since 2017, representing 45% of Hyatt’s total portfolio.

By the end of 2025, Hyatt plans to add over 35 hotels globally within its luxury, resort, and lifestyle portfolio. New entries include Park Hyatt properties in London, Johannesburg, Changsha, Kuala Lumpur, Cancun, and Los Cabos, expanding its presence in Mexico. The Impression by Secrets brand will enter Greece and Portugal in 2024.

The Hyatt Centric brand is set to expand in Canada, Asia Pacific, and Latin America, while Caption by Hyatt and the inclusive collection, including Secrets Resorts & Spas and Dreams Resorts & Spas, are adding new properties in Mexico, the Caribbean, and beyond.

The integration of Dream Hotel Group is expected to bring new properties, including Dream Valle de Guadalupe in Mexico. Additionally, the Secrets and Dreams brands are expanding their footprint in Mexico and the Caribbean in 2024.
