Netflix is a plethora of content for the seekers of entertainment, and the streaming platform never disappoints its viewers. The bucket of films and projects for the upcoming year seems to be full of exciting and heartwarming genres. One such film scheduled for the year 2021 is Double Dad. The streaming platforms and the film industry are, however, a bit short of sweet and adorable family content. When in search of a happy-family film, Double Dad comes to your rescue.
The trailer of the film was dropped on 8th December 2020, and the plot seems pretty much transparent to the audience. The trailer begins with a glimpse of the protagonist Icenza, in a beautiful place amidst nature. It’s her 18th birthday, and her mother is all hearts for her grown-up girl. Icenza and her mom have spent their entire life living in a hippie commune, preaching and practicing harmony, love, and peace. They’re completely different from the people in cities and lead a pretty normal yet sober life.
On her 18th birthday, her mother asks her what did she wish for the day? To which she gives a clear answer to who her father is. She feels she must know about her father, and from our point of view, it surely is. We then see her going through a set of old pictures of her mother with two men, and Icenza believes one of them is actually her father. She has a constant nudge in her mind and heart to find and meet her father, and her destiny gives her a signal.

She lands up in an office and meets Giovanne, one of the two men in the pictures. Meanwhile, she ventures and ends up finding Paco too, who is an artist. She states the possibility of them being her father but initially keeps both of them unaware of her approach. Both of the men at first are anxious about this discovery, but they end up spending time with Icenza and loving her in a way she was never loved before.
