More than a year after her breakup with Shep, Taylor confirmed during the Southern Charm season 9 reunion in mid-2023 that she was in a new relationship. His name is Gaston Rojas, and he has strong connections to the Southern Charm cast.
He was even mentioned on Leva Bonaparte’s spin-off show, Southern Hospitality, as the roommate of cast member Tj Dinch. Since Tj is very close to Taylor, that’s likely how Gaston and Taylor started their relationship.
The couple is still going strong in 2024, as Taylor recently posted a photo of them together on Instagram in Baltimore on June 30.

The confirmation came after host Andy Cohen asked if there was one specific incident that led to their split in late July. “No,” Taylor responded. “What’s being portrayed is not the stick that broke the camel’s back.”
The couple had been open about their relationship struggles on Southern Charm, most of which were due to Shep’s repeated cheating and commitment issues. Even when it seemed like they were making progress on the show, in confessionals, Shep often contradicted the promises he made to Taylor, admitting he still just wanted to stay single, while Taylor was eager to get married.
Watching this back hasn’t been easy. “I think everything that’s showing nine months later is proving to be true, that that’s the way he still thinks,” Taylor explained, adding that she isn’t interested in being friends with Shep right now. “He wants to be, but that’s having his cake and eating it too. So, no, I’m not about that. Not for right now, at least.”

Craig Conover made similar comments about Shep’s loyalty on a recent episode of Southern Charm, but Taylor said Craig isn’t the most trustworthy source. “Craig is an embellisher,” she explained, “so he definitely embellishes the truth a lot.”
