Beyoncé may not spend “a billion to look this good,” but her net worth is almost that high.
The “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer has created her wealth through her successful music career and various business ventures. In 2023, Beyoncé went on her Renaissance World Tour, which earned more than $579 million, making it one of the highest-grossing tours in history, according to Billboard.
As of December 2023, Forbes estimated Beyoncé’s net worth at $800 million. Half of this comes from her music catalog and tour earnings, while the other half comes from her personal assets and businesses.
“She’s one of the music gods,” said IAG chairman Dennis Arfa to Forbes. “The business she does, and the amount of people that she draws, that she can do a movie on her own. She can do things most can’t.”
Besides her music career, Beyoncé has partnered on several projects, like her Ivy Park line with Adidas. In 2024, she grew her business further by launching her hair care brand, Cécred, and whiskey brand, Sir Davis.
From her successful tours to her role as a business mogul, here’s how Beyoncé built her net worth.

As of December 2023, Beyoncé’s net worth is $800 million, a significant increase from the $540 million Forbes reported in June. The publication credited the rise in her wealth to the Renaissance tour, which took place from May to October, covering 39 cities in 17 countries.
Forbes estimates that $100 million of her net worth comes from her Renaissance tour, while her music catalog is valued at around $300 million.
The remaining $400 million comes from Beyoncé’s joint ventures with her husband, rapper JAY-Z, and her entertainment company, Parkwood Entertainment, which she founded in 2008.

What are Beyoncé’s album and tour sales?
Beyoncé’s career spans four decades, starting with the five albums she released as part of Destiny’s Child. Since going solo, she has released eight studio albums, five live albums, three compilation albums, and one soundtrack album.
The “Break My Soul” singer has sold over 120 million solo records and 60 million with Destiny’s Child. All eight of her studio albums debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 200 list, making her the first woman to achieve that feat.
From the beginning of her career, Beyoncé has been breaking records, including having four No. 1 entries on the Billboard Hot 100 while still in Destiny’s Child. Her first single after leaving the group, “Crazy in Love” from 2003, spent eight weeks at No. 1. Her most recent success was with “Texas Hold ‘Em,” which stayed at No. 1 for two weeks after its release in 2024.
Throughout her career, Beyoncé has done nine concert tours. In 2023, she set a new record for the highest-grossing tour by a Black artist, surpassing her own record from the Formation World Tour in 2016, which grossed $256 million. The Renaissance World Tour nearly doubled those earnings.
What are Beyoncé’s businesses?
Aside from being a famous singer, dancer, and performer, Beyoncé is also a successful businesswoman. In 2008, she started her own production, entertainment, and management company called Parkwood Entertainment. The company has produced various music and film projects, including the 2023 movie Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé.
She expanded her business ventures in 2016 by launching her athleisure line, Ivy Park, in collaboration with Adidas. She later expanded the collection to include children’s clothing in 2021. However, in March 2023, Beyoncé and Adidas ended their partnership due to creative differences, according to a source from The Hollywood Reporter.

Before that, in February 2023, the Wall Street Journal reported that Beyoncé earned $20 million in commission, even though Ivy Park’s sales dropped to $40 million. Shortly after the partnership ended, Beyoncé released a new collection with the fashion brand Balmain.
In 2024, Beyoncé ventured into the liquor and hair care industries. In February, she launched her hair care brand, Cécred. In October 2024, she told GQ that she purposely didn’t include herself in the brand’s ads because she wanted the product’s quality to speak for itself.
A few months later, Beyoncé introduced a whiskey brand called SirDavis Whisky. The brand is named after her great-grandfather, Davis Hogue, who was a farmer and moonshiner in the South. Similar to her hair brand, Beyoncé kept her personal image limited in the promotion of the whiskey.
She explained to GQ that men are often seen as the brains behind their businesses, while women, especially those in the spotlight, are often expected to be the face of the brand.
“Men often have the luxury of being perceived as the strategists, the brains behind their ventures,” she said. “They’re given the space to focus on the product, the team, the business plan. Women, on the other hand, especially those in the limelight, are frequently pigeonholed into being the face of the brand or the marketing tool.”
She added, “It’s important to me to continue to take the same approach I have taken with my music and apply my learnings to my businesses.”

How much has Beyoncé donated to charity?
In 2013, Beyoncé started her official charity foundation, BeyGOOD, which has led many initiatives in the years since. A portion of the profits from her tours, including the Formation World Tour, has been donated to causes supported by BeyGOOD. For example, the foundation donated over $6 million to people affected by the Flint Water Crisis, with some of the money going to the Flint Health and Development Fund.
The foundation has supported many causes, such as giving over $2 million in scholarships for students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and donating $6 million to help with coronavirus relief in 2020.
Most recently, the foundation announced a partnership with Cécred to provide $500,000 each year for cosmetology school student scholarships and salon business grants in cities around the country.
What has Beyoncé said about her wealth?
Beyoncé has always been humble and rarely talks about her wealth or success. She has shared that she values her family, children, and passions more than making decisions based on money.
“I have made an extreme effort to stay true to my boundaries and protect myself and my family,” she told GQ. “No amount of money is worth my peace.”
In a 2013 interview with Piers Morgan for CNN, Beyoncé said that money does not bring happiness for her, though she is thankful for everything she has worked for.
“It brings some happiness, it brings comfort,” she said. “You don’t have to worry about money, and [people] do and it’s extremely tough … I’m very happy that I don’t right now.”
