Who Is Robbie Arnett? All About Elizabeth Olsen’s Husband

Although Elizabeth Olsen, known for her role in WandaVision, tends to keep a low profile compared to other Hollywood stars, she has occasionally spoken about her partner, musician Robbie Arnett.

In June 2021, Olsen surprised fans when she referred to Arnett as her “husband” during an interview with Variety. During a video chat with Kaley Cuoco for Variety’s Actors on Actors series, Olsen pointed out that Arnett had left a book in the room.

“I also just noticed that my husband put Little Miss Magic,” Olsen said, pointing to a book from the Little Miss series that was visible in the background. She explained, “It’s Little Miss Magic. They’re these classic books, but ‘magic’ because of WandaVision, because he’s such a f—— cutie!”

When Cuoco jokingly asked if Arnett was helping with “craft services,” Olsen quickly responded, “God no. I made him breakfast.”

It wasn’t until June 2022 that Olsen confirmed she and Arnett “eloped” and later had a wedding “at another time.” She clarified in an interview on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show, saying, “It was before COVID. I just never talked about it.”

Olsen has kept quiet about her relationship with Arnett since they were first seen together in March 2017. Two years later, it was reported that they were engaged in July 2019 after three years of dating.

Although they try to keep their relationship private, Arnett has been in the public eye for years. He works in the entertainment industry, and here’s more about Elizabeth Olsen’s husband, Robbie Arnett.

He’s in the indie band Milo Greene

Arnett is a member of the Los Angeles-based band Milo Greene. The band, consisting of three singer-songwriters, released their debut album in 2012, followed by Control in 2015 and Adult Contemporary in 2018.

A few months after Olsen and Arnett were first seen together, Olsen mentioned Arnett’s band during an August 2017 interview on Sway in the Morning, saying, “My boyfriend’s in a cool band.”

When asked about the band’s unusual name, Arnett explained to NPR in 2012, “We wanted a booking agent, a manager, so we created a Gmail and started sending people emails, calling people, on behalf of Milo Greene.” This tactic helped them secure more gigs, and Milo Greene became their official band name.

In March 2025, Olsen shared with PEOPLE that she and Arnett enjoy discussing their careers together. “To us, the thing we love most is talking about stories,” she said. “Talking about work is talking about why we do it, what’s a good way to crack it. It’s my favorite thing to talk about — I mean, one of my favorite things to talk about, with my husband. So I endlessly enjoy it.”

He and Olsen created a children’s book series called Hattie Harmony

Olsen and Arnett are not just married, but they have also teamed up to write a children’s book series. The books follow Hattie Harmony, a cat detective who helps her friends manage everyday worries and fears.

Their first book, Hattie Harmony: Worry Detective, was released on June 28, 2022.

Speaking about the book, Olsen shared, “Robbie and I couldn’t be more thrilled to introduce the world to Hattie Harmony.” She added, “Inspired by the picture books we adored as kids, we hope that Hattie will become a friend and a welcomed reminder to be kind to yourself and to each other.”

During a May 2022 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Olsen praised Arnett for coming up with the title, saying, “That’s my husband. He’s very clever.”

Their second book, Hattie Harmony: Opening Night, was released in June 2023.

Olsen opened up about her own experiences with anxiety, saying, “I had panic attacks when I was 22, and I absolutely thought something was medically wrong with me. They’re pretty terrifying when they happen. I learned games to play in order to keep myself present and not spin. I’ve also done yoga since I was 17. Luckily, I felt like I had tools.”

Arnett shared, “I was a very anxious kid, and my family moved around a lot. I never really felt rooted anywhere, and I had all sorts of fears. It’s been helpful developing Hattie and really sitting with it and thinking about the kid in me.”

His music has been featured in movies and TV shows

As a member of Milo Greene, Arnett has performed on several late-night talk shows. He appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in 2012, and later performed on Conan O’Brien’s TBS show in 2015.

The band’s music has also been featured in the 2013 movie Fun Size, the 2020 film The F—-It List, the Netflix series The Santa Clarita Diet, and the TV show Supernatural.

Arnett also worked behind the scenes on the 2019 movie Jexi, which starred Adam Devine. He is credited as a music coordinator on the film.

He and Olsen moved to London in 2021

After finishing her work on WandaVision, Olsen moved to London to film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, according to Variety. Arnett joined Olsen in the UK, and as Olsen mentioned, they both fell in love with their new home in Britain.

During an appearance on the podcast Table Manners with Jessie Ware, Olsen shared, “I’m with my man-guy-partner, and we’re in Richmond. He’s a writer, he’s a musician.”

She added, “He started just writing, like normal writing, not music. And so, he can do that here, so we’re living this British dream in this house in Richmond right by the water.”

He and Olsen value their privacy — and aren’t big on social media

Both Arnett and Olsen are very private about their personal lives and aren’t big fans of social media. Although Arnett has an active Instagram account, he rarely posts. In fact, Arnett has just one post on his feed — a video of Olsen talking about their children’s book on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Olsen, on the other hand, used to have an Instagram account but deleted it in 2020. She later told Glamour UK that she “was never going back to social media.”

“[I thought] Wait, why am I even trying to create a character version of myself and put it out in the world?” Olsen explained, adding that the whole process made her “uncomfortable.”

“And so during the pandemic, I was like, Oh, this is just not for me. And I just got rid of it,” she said.
