“Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.” If you’re an After fan, you’ve probably heard this line in your mind. Based on Anna Todd’s best selling book series, After is a digital adaptation, titled under the same name. The first adaptation was released in 2019 and managed to rule young hearts. The film proved to be a surprise for the ‘After’ novel fans, and the viewers wanted the entire book series to be brought to life.
The Romantic Drama film stars Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin in lead roles, portraying the character of Tessa and Hardin, respectively. The second installment of the franchise was titled ‘After We Collided’ and premiered in December 2020. The film was made available on Netflix for international viewers. For the second installment, Dylan Sprouse joined the team and portrayed a pivotal role in the film.
Since the release of ‘After We Collided’, fans have been speculating about the third installment of the film that will be based on the book, ‘After We Fell.’ Well, there’s some good news for the fans of the movie and the book series. The team of After has wrapped up the shoots for both the third and the fourth installment of the film in one go. The announcement about the same was made in December 2020. Instead of just getting to see Part 3, fans will soon be witnessing Part 4 of the film series.
Announcing about the same, the official Instagram handle of the movie posted the update. In addition, the director of the upcoming films, ‘After We Fell’ and ‘After Ever Happy,’ talked about the same via her social media handles. Castille Landon said the project would hit the screens in 2021, and the team is excited about the same.
The filming has been moved to Bulgaria, and several new faces have been recast. Chance Perdomo will be joining the cast as Landon, a role that was initially portrayed by Shane Paul McGhie. Stephen Moyer and Mira Sorvino will be playing Christian Vance and Carol, respectively. Christian Vance was initially played by Charlie Weber in After We Collided, while Mira Carol’s role was portrayed by Selma Blair.

Frances Turner is also joining as Karen. Apart from all the recasting, the viewers will witness a new character, Nora, that we haven’t seen in the series yet. Kiana Maderia will be portraying the role of the same.
Even after having a theatrical release during the global pandemic, the previous film managed to be a superhit, and we aren’t surprised at the continuation of the adaptation with the two upcoming films. Both the movies are in the production phase, and the release dates of the same have not been clarified yet. But as per the announcements by the official team, the team is set to hit the screens in 2021. Till then, all the Hessa fans will have to wait.
