“Songs are all just an expression of our deepest wants and desires… Joy, pain, heartbreak, yearning, forgiveness, revenge. Good music can make you feel things you can’t express in words.” Heard this in Mo’s voice? Well, then you’ve got to be someone who either follows Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist or has atleast seen it. The show stars Jane Levy as the protagonist Zoey Clarke of the musical comedy-drama. It basically centers around a girl named Zoey who lives in San Francisco and is a smart computer coder by profession. She has a simple life like most of us, but life takes an unusual turn for her. After an event, Zoey, who has always preferred podcasts over any song, begins to hear people’s feelings, desires, and inner thoughts in the form of music and songs.
She can hear everybody’s inner thoughts, be it her family, her friends, strangers, or any random person around her. Initially, she begins to question her mental stability, but after she’s guided by her neighbor Mo, she stops bothering about it. With the new ‘superpower’, she gets to know about her father’s illness in advance and feels that what she thought might be a curse for her, may actually prove to be a wonderful gift, that will help her connect with the world, in an even better way.
The show made its debut in January 2020 and, after being renewed for a second season, began airing the episodes of a brand new season from 5 January 2021. The episodes are dropped on a weekly basis, and so far, we’ve come across two of them. Also, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist Season 2 Episode 3 airs on 19 January.

What will Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist Season 2 narrate?
Well, this season is probably gonna be about how she strikes a balance between her personal and professional life. Zoey is still in that phase emotionally where she lost her father. She’s still grieving, and that is going to affect her forthcoming relationships. While she struggles to get herself back in a mentally stable position, she also has to keep in mind that in Joan’s absence, she is the boss. With the huge promotion that has come her way, it has brought enough responsibilities that she has to carry and fulfill. Striking the right balance between her two personalities isn’t that easy.
The season will also feature Max being a boy who successfully wins her heart after the Simon vs. Max faceoff and their blooming relationship. Well, her choice wasn’t simply based on their performances, there was something more to it. Zoey’s choice came as a surprise when she chose to plant a kiss on Max, and we also get to see a ‘Max and Zoey time’ in the second episode. But did Zoey make the right choice? Let’s see. Zoey will also be seen struggling with horrifying dreams that begin to affect her personal life. With a lot going on already, how will she overcome the newly arrived barrier? Well, for that, we need to tune into the new episode and wait for the show to air newer ones soon!
