Season 1 Recap
Before reading forward, please do note that the next part may contain spoilers for season one if you haven’t finished yet. Looking back at the first season, Bridgerton Season one’s story was based on Julia Quinn’s The Duke And I. The novel is based upon Simon, the Lord of Hastings, and Daphne Bridgerton’s love story. They both become married and thus become the Duke and Duchess of Hastings. But every happy story will not be happy until it is faced with problems. Lord of Hastings and Daphne Bridgerton’s story also had many hiccups.
But by the end of Season one, both of them found happiness together. The primary season concluded with they welcomed a baby boy. Other characters, such as Anthony, caught up in his own love story along with a secret one. But his mistress, Siena, broke things off for good by refusing to go with him to Simon and Daphne’s ball. This motivated Anthony to take a vow to find a wife without finding love.
Meantime, Eloise was busy in search of Lady Whistledown’s identity. She found it convincing that Madame Delacroix was Lady Whistledown, but she was proven wrong. Eloise’s own best friend, Penelope Featheringon, revealed herself as Lady Whistledown in the final moments of the season, but only the audience knows of her identity at the moment.
Bridgerton Season 2: Everything we know so far
It is expected that most of our beloved cast will be returning for another season of Bridgerton. It is already known that the next season will give focus on Lord Anthony Bridgerton. This clearly means that means Jonathan Bailey, who plays as Lord Anthony Bridgerton, will be returning for this season. As the focus is now shifting to Anthony Bridgerton, Bridgerton creator Chris Van Dusen shared that they still haven’t decided whether Regé-Jean Page and Phoebe Dynevor would be called back to play as Simon and Daphne, the couple at where season one storyline centered around.
The real confirmation regarding other cast members is still in the clouds as Netflix hasn’t announced the season 2 cast other than the renewal of season two. As of the date, Netflix has only confirmed that Jonathan will get the next season as Anthony Bridgerton. We can hope that other cast members such as Regé-Jean, and Phoebe may return some part of season two to reprise their roles.
Additional cast members are expected to include Nicola Coughlan as Penelope Featherington, Claudia Jessie as Eloise Bridgerton, Luke Newton as Colin Bridgerton, Polly Walker as Lady Portia Featherington, Julie Andrews as the voice of Lady Whistledown, Luke Thompson as Benedict Bridgerton, Ruth Gemmell as Lady Violet Bridgerton, Adjoa Andoh as Lady Danbury, Ruby Barker as Marina Thompson, and Golda Rosheuvel as Queen Charlotte.
As of Bridgerton Season 2, it is still unknown if the team has started working on the new season. According to the rumors, The incomparable cast of Bridgerton is expected to return to production in the Spring of 2021. This hints that the production will start by that time. Given the current pandemic running, we may wait for a bit longer to see the show’s season two on our screens.
Till season two arrives, we can still watch season one through the streaming platform Netflix. All the eight episodes of season one will be available to stream through Netflix for the subscribers. We always suggest you not go with pirated copies of any series, as in that way, the creators can’t get the support they want to get. What are all your thoughts regarding season two of Bridgerton? We are expecting the show to be arrived by the end of 2021 or by the beginning of 2022. Do let us know what you think.
